Now, all those poor folks who bought homes two and three hours from their workplace are going to be hurting.

I saw a story on the morning news today about a station near Monterey selling regular for 3.01... ouch!

I figure the increase is costing me another $14/month.
Oh I'm so frighted.

Gotta save the wetlands from working people, don'cha know. People need to nut up and do their bit for the war effort for a while, but I guess that would be too much to expect out of the SF Gay area. (I like that)

Not sure how acurate this is, but at least it's a way of investigating cheaper gas prices:

The Kennedy's claim gas would be $5.00 if they had their way. They claim that's the real price without all the subsidies the oil industry gets from the government. Li'l Kennedy said it last week on Hannity's radio show. I guess this is a good sign then. I guess all will be well with the world when it hits five dollars.

That's just kinda the way things are in Kalifornia...when I was in the 'career thing', I drove 30 miles each way (45 to 120 minutes, depending on whether or not a dog shat on the side of the freeway, causing looky-loo gridlock).
It's a spread-out kind of state. You sort of get used to it.....sort of.

"It's ridiculous," said Sandra Cerrigan, who paid $2.23 for gas for her Land Rover at a San Francisco Chevron Station. "We're getting gouged."Yeah, Sandy, yer getting gouged by a bunch of RATS in yer state guvament that slap you with some of the highest gas taxes in the nation. They pretty much got you bent over so far you can see yesterday's sunset :)
Now, whatcha gonna do?
