CA: Legislative Democrats: Hold off on warfare

More than 20 Democrats in the Legislature joined together on Tuesday at the All Wars Memorial in Capitol Park to oppose immediate military action against Iraq.

Fifty-two California Democratic legislators formally declared their opposition Tuesday to an immediate war against Iraq, marking perhaps the largest protest of its kind among state legislatures nationwide.

"There may be a few anti-war members, but most of us -- having been in the military and having that experience -- stand behind the president," Palmer said.

California lawmakes continue to be on the wrong side of the issue, lets thank our lucky stars these left wing nuts aren't running the country.

Their real purpose: to try to convince Saddam to not nuke or bioattack California, at the expense of the other states. They are just like France in their cheese eating, wine sipping, faggoty white flag waving. An unintended side effect is that they are demonstrating their lack of relevance, their lack of power, their outcast status.

This is the same bunch of clowns that think nothing of staging a constant war on the citizens of California, but don't want to rid the world of a known tyrant. The Democrats want to know why I left them several years ago and have never looked back? Its this disconnect of theirs from the American mainstream. How chivalrous of California's Democrats to stab our President and our troops in the back at the very moment they are most in need of our support. No, I don't think the Democrats still understand why they lost the election last fall and signing this inane petition is simply additional proof of a once great party that's lost its way.
