I'm 65 so I won't be around to see it happen, but I would bet that within 25-30 years U.S. gun laws will be the same as the UK's are now.

I'm in my 20's and I will not tolerate such a thing.

If Bush or GOP congresscritters wimp out to extend it and the high-cap ban, they can count on the gun owners that put the GOP in charge of the White House, House, Senate, and Supreme Court just staying home and watching TV on Election Day.

What can Fineswine do to or for Bush anyhow? We can keep the GOP in the White House and running both houses of Congress. She and her constituencies can't do a damn thing.

This is one issue Bush had better never cave on or it will GUARANTEE he is a one - term president.

Here's my guarantee: Bush will wimp out and cave -- the ban is as good as renewed. Whether or not he'll be a one-term President will have a helluva lot more to do with the success of the WOT and the health of the economy than with the renewal of thi ban, outrageous as it is.
