Can't the students in class simply tell the teacher that her button makes them feel "uncomfortable" or "threatened" or "offended?"

That should stop it. Cause we don't want to possibly threaten anyone, or make anyone uncomfortable, or offend them. Isn't that what teachers have been teaching?

A caller just told Mike Rosen that Martha Swisher used to teach at the elementary school his daughter attended also in the Jefferson County School District. She was transferred to the middle school a few months after an incident in which she tore an NRA bumber sticker off another teacher's truck. This story is uncorroborated but the gentleman did use the names of the other people involved in the incident.

Another caller just said that her daughter is currently in Ms. Swisher's class. She stated her daughter has told her that Ms. Swisher has gone on tirades against George Bush and the war on daily basis. She stated to the class, "Why doesn't he send his daughters to fight in the war."

Yesterday, on the Mike Gallagher show, he was so angry at this teacher, that he started a fund raiser for "Feed the Children", to brin in a semi-load of food/items for the military families in Colorado.

As of this morning his listeners had raised enough money to bring in SEVEN truckloads for "Feed the Children"

All becuase this panty-waisted "teacher" wants to shove her anti-american ideas into faces of school children.

The ball is rolling, and I think soon we shall all be heard in this country and the anti's will be drowned out.

Does anyone remember listening to Sean Hannity (WABC) a couple of years ago when a female high school student from New Jersey called him to complain about the treatment she was getting in her history class by her teacher? Apparently, she was conservative in her thinking, and her history teacher mocked her out about it -- actually ridiculed her in class. He also stated that George Bush wasn't his president.

Well, she called Hannity once a week to give an update on how she and her teacher were getting along in American History 101. Hannity wanted to debate this guy on TV, but he refused. Hannity offered to even send a limo to pick him up and take him to the studio, but the gutless creep still refused. Then the "teacher" tried to say the girl was crazy, that he didn't ridicule her in class, but there were several students who signed affidavits saying otherwise.

Hannity said something to the effect that if she got a poor grade in his class to please contact him. My guess is she passed the class with flying colors.

Partisan politics in the classroom, be it kindergarden or a university, is unprofessional.

If the school district really believes this statement, then it should make the NEA hack stop wearing that partisan button at school related events and apologize to Ms. Fowler.

"It is frightening that any teacher would wear such an insulting pin, when she should be teaching patriotism, loyalty and character in supporting ones nation, military and President during a time of war. I no longer wonder why students are failing in masses. They are no longer learning mathematics, history, English or science. They are learning by example, how to behave acting against our leaders, learning a disrespect I have never before witness in my lifetime! Right, wrong or indifferent, we must stand behind our President.

I remember being sickened by President Clinton, and embarrassed by his ridiculous behavior. But, no matter what, he was my President. I even explained to my children recently, because this subject came up, that you must stand behind your President, your government, your military, no matter what, especially, in times of war! We must stand united, because divided, we will fall. Get rid of this idiot, and others like her. They are propagating division of this country and anarchy. God bless us all.
