Mansoor Ijaz tells Fox & Friends, "Capture of OBL Only Days or HOURS Away"

Steve Doocey said on Fox this morning that he had just gotten off the phone with Mansoor Ijaz, the Pakistani-born American who has excellent connections to Pakistan, and that Ijaz said that the info they are extracting from the Sheik means that we are days, if not "hours," away from capturing OBL. They have traced his movements; they know where his wives & some kids are (Iran, where they are being "protected"), and think OBL even slipped out of the country and went to Bali prior to that bombing, traveling mostly by water.

Further, last night on O'Reilly, Ijaz also said that he has no doubt that we are using "whatever means necessary" to extract info from the Sheik. O'Reilly said "including torture?" Ijaz said, "Yes."

I dont believe physical torture will be used. I think it will be a mix of sedation, mental torture with a little confusion on time of day and day of the week... Hell, I wouldnt put it past our guys to have a women laugh at him naked and throwing pig fat at him...

I think the physical torture isnt productive and more of the style of cruel regimes to entertain themselves.

The show "24" had a good example of it by putting his family on tv and "shooting" his firstborn (they actually didnt) and moving on down the line. If he had kids, grabbing them and staging a fake torture on them would do wonders i bet...would for me.

I personally believe that OBL is in "heaven" with 72 Hillaries. I also think that for our purposes it is OK if most people think he's still alive.

If it were announced that OBL was dead, Dems would use it to force most of the air out of the War on Terror.

If, and I say again ... if ... the grey one is captured alive, it seems to me that we would be in an embarrassing position what with our troops staged around Iraq and all.

The Rats would call for a halt to the build-up and demand we come home. (No need now to invade Iraq will be their song)

France and Germany will strut like peacocks ... in our face.

Saddaam will call for the world to hound us to leave him alone and he will continue to build his arsenal. Within five years he will have amassed a nuke collection that will be harder or impossible to relieve him of.

I guess the best thing we could do, if the SOB OBL is alive, is to reverse that condition.

Despite all his fans here, Mansoor has been wrong a number of times. I'm not sure his information is all that reliable.

I don't believe for a second that we're torturing any suspects. Especially not a high profile suspect. But I wouldn't be surprised if Khalid is blabbing his head off. He's the type.

With some of the leadership captured, the morale of the idiot followers must be way low. They must also wonder whether they are on a list and being followed.

There is also the possibility that bin Laden has altered his appearance to avoid recognition. Releasing video as well as audio would give away this disguise.

I think it's just a high confidence factor based on leads collected with the documents and computers seized along with Shaikh Mohammed. Mansoor Ijaz is of Pakistani descent, and has close contacts in their intelligence agency involved in the capture of Shaikh Mohammed.

That's what I think too. I was pretty sure he was dead, but the letters and the cassettes seem to prove me wrong. The only explanation is that he changed his appearance, or he has been disfigured in some way.

When your hideout is stormed at 2:00AM while you are sleeping, it is difficult to keep from being taken alive. I am sure he has a couple of bodyguards with him, but they too can be quickly neutralized before having a chance to react.

Seriously, you may be right. Notice that Khalid no longer had his beard and glasses when he was captured.
