SAN DIEGO DETECTIVE AIDS IN LACI PETERSON CASE
(03-04-2003) - A private investigator from San Diego made an unusual discovery in Northern California that just might help police in their search for missing Modesto woman, Laci Peterson.
Bill Garcia spotted a chunk of cement by a waterway near Modesto.
It was interesting because it was the only patch of cement we saw in about 20, 30 miles stretch. And there was a tire track through it, said Garcia.
Last week, the couple who sold a boat to Laci's husband Scott, said cement residue in the boat wasn't there when they owned it.
Regardless of who might be responsible, Garcia, along with the help of a private field engineer, have made it their mission to find Laci, with no guidance from Modesto Police of Lacis family.
Her family needs to know what happened, said Garcia. Whether shes out there and someones holding her or whether shes no longer with us, and we bring her home, or we help in bringing her home.
Recently, Garcia helped in the search for Danielle van Dam, and also tracked down Phillip Salcedo, the armored car driver accused of stealing money in January.

"A Missouri appeals court Tuesday ordered freedom for an HIV-positive woman indefinitely confined as a violent sexual predator, ruling there was scant evidence proving recidivism of women convicted of sex crimes"
Think we ought to pick her up from prison and drive her to where ever our plucker boy is...let nature take it's course...and see who screws who to death first...GOOD FUN and problem solving at the same time...Yea:-)))...Ray

Did you see Clouda's post to me from the first thread this morning with pics? Nice pics... I think #39.....
Yeah, that was good. I had the same problem with KVOR when they broke the Bruce Peterson story on their 10 o'clock news program.
Guess what now that I said that does anyone know if Bruce Peterson where Bruce Peterson lives and is it in the direction where Garcia found the cement glob, patch, deep dish pizza or whatever it is?

This evening's 5 pm broadcast of KOVR 13 presented the same story as much as I was able to hear. One addition, though - The report implied that Modesto PD had been asked about this and "were interested" in looking over the sight.
RB, your suggestion about highway 132 makes perfect sense. This would, IMO be the selected route west from Modesto from both the Peterson residence and the warehouse versus driving up to the 120 Manteca by-pass.
Just a thought, Ya know those cameras that MPD has installed at various intersections around town? The ones that are supposed to be for traffic control and not traffic enforcement ie. running red lights, etc. Wonder if they have a tape library at the cop shop and if those would produce any info to support or refute SP's supposed trip to Berkeley?!?!
Thought of that same possibility back when the Sund/Pelosi ladies went missing and they found Carol Sund's wallet along Briggsmore.
The mind is a terrible thing to waste - that's why I shop here on these threads. :)

Thanks for all your hard work as always! You guys/girls are the best!
Just got off the phone w/ my brother in the Navy-based in San Diego. Had a long conversation on the crazieness that's going on. Hope he won't have to ship out there again. He was on the ship that launched the first airstrike on Bagdad in the Persian Gulf war, and to the gulf again when we went after Usama. This will make his third time there, he said it looks likes he's going. Praying for our troops!
Nite all!

Does Bruce Peterson live in Modesto? Exactly what areas of California does KVOR cover?

Good nite Jackie-O, sweetdreams. I understand about your brother, I'm still here with my son. Its a hurry up and wait thing. At least today he had to pack all those hugh bags they have to carry over there and take them in for inspection. Then he bought home this hugh footlocker for all his personal belongings. I thought I might be on my way back home by next week, but they might not leave until April. We are just at a stand still. I may have to go back home and come back if it takes too much longer. I definitely want to be here to hug and kiss him off.

most cities don't have that capabilities. It would be too costly archiving them and data banking them. In San Jose, they have lots around the city, and the only thing, last I remember is that in our control signal center, they are only for events, and traffic flow management. Talk was down yonder on videoing them, but I think it was a privacy issue then. You do know, many cities do have active cams placed around hot spots. Not sure on Modesto.... They do have a weblink linking ya to their signal data info. Transportation department with the City of Modesto. Those camaras you see in various intersections, one purpose was traffic flow management, Caltrans, live views, (not sure if stored), and 'red light camara programs. On photo RADAR, that is usually a camara equipped vehicle assigned to community active locations for speed enforcement. (I believe City of Modesto doesn't have that program)....
On that video, if you zoom up the image, you can see that bridge.... looks like the San Joaquin Confluence area bridge... And you can see the embankment there that I see everyday driving thru... I noticed in the clip, traffic moving on that bridge, and visually I think that is it...

I remember going tru that when my bro went over there for the first time. I was pregnant with my youngest, worried sick. I was constantly glued to the media..
I watched those boys & girls shipping out of Coronado yesterday, saying goodbye to loved ones. I think of our couragous men & women constantly, and tell my brother almost daily how proud I am of him that he has spent the last 20 years of his life devoted to protecting our freedom.

KOVR was the station that broke both stories Bruce Peterson and Bill Garcia on their 10 p.m. news and we had to wait til the next daybreak and noon before any other news outlet posted or said anything about it. I was just wondering if Bruce Peterson lived in the direction of where Garcia found the cement.

San Diego is such a very small town, apparently everybody knows everybody else Hmmmmm. Hmmmm, San Diego is the sixth largest city in population in the US.
To: TexKat; runningbear
My understanding, and rb just presented info, Bruce P lives in Sonora area, which is located east of Modesto in the foothills of the Sierras. Opposite direction of Garcia's 'find.'
Sacramento television market is the inland areas of the northern Central Valley. Fresno stations cover the mid- southern valley and to the north, Chico, Ca stations cover the far northern areas. SF, Oakland and San Jose cover the Bay area. Coastal mountain range limits coverage to central valley area.
Thus ends the geography lesson. Study! You will be tested on this info. :)
To: Diver Dave; runningbear
Okay well there goes that thought. Now runningbear do you remember what website it was that one of the members was using to look up SP's email.Thank both of you for the geo lesson. I hope the test won't be any time soon DD.
