David Mamet is on the list even though he hasn't said much in public.

Penn and Teller

Penn may be a libertarian in some sense, but you can forget him. He was rabidly Clintonista.

Silver's a convert, at least in some regards. I was skeptical too, but as the other FReeper said, do your search -- he's AGGRESSIVELY "come over," at least in some regards.

I heard James Woods the other day on the Sean Hannity show. I don't remember the name of the liberal actor he was grilling. The liberal came away sounding platitudinuous and looking like the fool he was. Sound thinking coupled with a good command of the facts is a powerful combination.

"The War on Terrorism has not been as successful as President Bush has stated, and he is feeling pressure to do something, even if that something has nothing to do with actually fighting terrorism! The Bush administration thinks they can fool us into thinking they have the terrorism situation under control by going after Saddam, when all they are doing is exacerbating the problem by creating more outrage against the United States from potential terrorists." - Barbara Streisand

Pat is quite the republican/conservative partisan. He's more prolific a conservative writer than most people realize.

I'm absolutely positive that Faith Hill came out anti-Bush in one way or another. I can't remember what she said and I can't find a quote online. But I do remember it because I was shocked that she'd be so careless with her bread and butter.

Turns out I was wrong. No one remembers it and the quote's been wiped off the face of the earth. ;)

Actually, he's pretty darned liberal and an old friend of Bill's. That he's on the right side of the war issue is a surprise to many.

Penn and Teller

I did a web search and was pleasantly surprised to find that Teller is actually a Fellow of the Cato Institute.

It seems he has changed. Do a search on his name. He's been popping up on different news shows lately with a different perspective.

Janine Turner is a Republican.
Janine Turner
Q: You attended George Bush's inaugural in Washington, D.C. in January. Did you have fun?
A: I loved it! I'm a Texan and I'm a Republican. I met with President Bush when he was governor about children's issues. You reach a point in your career, and this is a rewarding career, I'm hoping that I can be of service. source

"I don't think it's hurt my career," actress Janine Turner said of being a Republican, "but I've probably missed out on some pretty cool parties because of my politics." source

"Bush is a racist"--Danny Glover

"I think America has no experience with terrorism or even with war. In Europe, we know a little bit more about these things." --Peter Gabriel

"As dumb as this administration is, they don't look ahead. They don't know where any countries are...They don't really know much about anything."

"Now you have people [in Washington] who have no interest in the country at all. They're interested in their companies, their corporations grabbing Caspian oil."-- Gore Vidal

“In my country the atmosphere is poisoned. Unbreathable for those of us who are not on the right. So thank you for inviting me to this festival and allowing me to leave there for a few days.” -- Jessica Lange

"So when I see the American flag, I go, 'Oh my God, you're insulting me.'"

"'We're here, we're queer!' -- that's what makes my heart swell. Not the flag, but a gay naked man or woman burning the flag. I get choked up with pride." -- Janeanne Garofalo

"I believe he thinks this [war against Iraq] is a war that can be won, but there is no such thing anymore...We can't beat anyone anymore" -- George Clooney

"[Bush is a] sad figure: not too well educated, who doesn't get out of America much. He's leading the country towards fascism... he wouldn't understand the word fascism anyway." --Larry Hagman

"It is inappropriate for the [Bush] administration to trump up a case in which we are ballyhooed into war."

But, a few years earlier:

"...the bottom line is that I think it’s appropriate for the international community in situations like this to intervene [in Kosovo]. I am in favor of an intervention. On some level you have to say that at least somebody [Clinton] is doing something." -- Mike Farrell

There's a guy from Newsmax on KRLA right now giving his list:

Rob Lowe

Kid Rock

Jean Claude Van Damme: called celebrities who speak out against the war the "axis of ignorance."
