I hate to post an image like this, but it's important to know how the Eurotrash leftists are portraying the US and pro-US German politicians. They're parading it down the street.
I'm no expert on German politics. My limited knowledge is that Christian Democrats Union party leader Angela Merkel is probably not as strong of a supporter of our Iraq policy as the leaders of Spain or Britain are - but she has been strong in her criticism of the Red-Green coalition for damaging US-German relations.
Merkel would certainly be better leader for Germany than Chancellor Schroeder (Social Democratic party) and Foreign Minister Fischer (Green Party).

You can bet that after Bush and Rumsfeld see this, they will speed up the permanent removal of US forces from Germany.

Is this the same parade that produced this fine float one year?
To: Dont Mention the War
Yes it is. This is carnival. Nothing forbidden.
As a European I am used to such things during this time of the year, but the float above goes way beyond one can tolerate, even for carnival. It is supposed to show some humor, but this is extremely disgraceful and distasteful.

I'm (sort of) sorry that the imagery is so disgusting, but isn't it also telling that the ONE German leader who isn't apologetic about supporting the FREE world in the cesspit OLD Europe has become is being "born" from the last (reasonably) free nation's loins?

I'm not even sure what it's supposed to represent, since the Babelfish translation is so horrible. I suppose Angela Merkel must have dared to go against socialist dogma on a single issue at some point?
I keep looking at the float, and the only thing I can think of is, "That girl sure looks a lot like Helen Thomas."

Utterly disgusting. Let's get those bases out of Germany -- NOW!!!
We need to mount a boycott of France and Germany and Belgium -- a tourism boycott as well as a boycott of goods and technology.

Germans have been known to underestimate US for almost a century now. Why should their present crop of drunken gas-chamber operators be any different from those from whom they descend?

Interesting to see that the concept of "German humor" remains a contradiction in terms.
What the float should really show is a figure of Schroeder coming out of Chirac's butthole. That would be much much closer to the truth.
To: Dont Mention the War
But this one is realistic about Dilldo and what he did to Liberty. Just quite a bit mild compared to the reality.

Actually I think it's kinda funny. I don't agree with the sentiments, but that doesn't stop it being humourous. Lighten up folks

The Democrat party, by disingeniously assailing the motives and acts of America, along with the credibility of the President (think Daschle's claim of Bush's "credibility gap) give those abroad the strongest reason to believe in the hateful rhetoric of anti-americanism. If one of the two major parties of America claim that it is a "bully", clearly there is something to it...the thinking goes. And the price of anti-americanism is high. It is the fuel that powers the terrorist fire and creates obstacles to forming alliances to deal with security threats. Words have consequences. It is time to call Democrats on their sponsorship of anti-americanism, here and abroad. Criticism of America's foreign policy is fine. Corrosive cynicism and inflammatory rhetoric is not; and Democrats refuse to contradict the hateful messages of their liberal followers, we should hang them with it.

I'm with Yaron.
If we had floats like that here, we might not have a Senator Hilary.

Very creative, mildly amusing, and well-done, artistically, but couldn't be too much more insulting or offensive. Imagine what float themes we could come up with to insult European citizens, should we put our minds to it? Interesting how the USA is always being criticised for it's debauchery and immorality.......... I don't know which European country you are from, but your comments are refreshing and encouraging, considering all the US-bashing going on.

Correct translation: Should one be allowed to make fun of politicians in this way?
I'd just add that 'verarschen' is a pun; Arsch is the German word equivalent to the British arse or American ass.
To: Yaron
Actually I think it's kinda funny I find it crude and vulgar. On the other hand, compared with most German humor, it's about average gross. They are not a subtle people.
