Jehadi website ping: (let me know if you want on or off)
Story is misleading -- The US Govt. cannot shut down any sites. It is
PREVENTED from doing so by the First Amendment of the Constitution.
It wasn't the hackers either.
The group I am working with will claim credit for many of the shutdowns. Over a hundred so far and increasing -- included are some of the sites listed above. We are not hackers -- and unlike a hack-attack the shutdowns we obtain are often permanent.
We contacted each ISP and asked them to remove the site for violation of the ISPs own legal "Terms of Service" or "Acceptable Use Policy" -- Many ISPs have policies in place restricting hate speech, murderous incitement, or illegal activity on their networks. Also, other countries, especially in Europe have laws restricting hate speech.
Most of the ISPs don't know they are even hosting a terrorist site. We just tell them, and often they are more than happy to remove the site.
Sure, the terrorist organization will just move to a different ISP -- and then we inform that ISP. -- Unlike a hack-attack the shutdowns we obtain are often permanent. We've noticed after the 4th or 5th time the terrorists just get tired of moving and stop putting the site up.

The site is American-Jewish -- but our group is open to worldwide volunteers of Christians, Jews, Hindus and anyone opposed to terrorists use of the internet.

Keep up the good work Mr. Galt. I wish I had the computer skills to go after these folks myself.
