Thanks for that reminder.

We will give the bourgeoisie a rope, and the bourgeoisie will hang itself...They will sell it to us themselves!

What's with the Walmart bashing? I can't think of any store that has the items I need for a reasonable price! Add in the fact that they allow RVer's parking space for the night is a noble gesture for it's shoppers. You got my patronage Walmart, and because you serve your customers well, I acually bought stock in the company. Thanks alot!

They can be "generous" when they employ slave labor in Communist for 12 cent per hour or less. Kind of like robbing Paul to pay Peter. Wonder what Walmart would have done if it had existed during Nazi Germany period...

Do you honestly think that Americans would buy products made in Nazi Germany--by Jews, just because it was cheaper and readily available?

If not, when we are through exposing to the American people what is really happening in Communist China TODAY:

1. The Laogai concentration camps in Communist China when millions are enslaved for the Wal-marts of the world

2. The forced organ harvesting where the Communist Chinese shoot prisoners for their organs for Westerners who can afford to pay $30,000 for a kidney

4. Forced abortion and forced sterilization performed on Chinese women who have more than 1 child

5. The Tibetan genocide where the Communist Chinese have killed over 1/4 of the Tibetan population and are trying to wipe out their culture through massive Chinese population transfer into Tibet

6. The persecution of 80 million underground Christians who are pursued like the Jews and sent to the Laogais

7. The military build-up of Communist China using US trade dollars for weapons to sink US aircraft carriers

When we are through with that, most Americans will not touch anything made in China.

Get my drift?

Although Wal-Mart is hitting speed bumps because of growing labor challenges, employment lawsuits and higher costs, few doubt it will stop besting competitors as it expands.

Bad writing. Should be "...few expect it will stop besting competitors..." or "few doubt it will continue besting competitors..."

No. And I'd expect to be out of business in short order if my customer base didn't care that my competitor was. However, since its not illegal to import Chinese made goods, its a moot point.

Those things are well publicized, for anybody who cares. Most people don't. They want cheap stuff.

You're damn right Americans would buy products made in Nazi Germany by Jews just because it was cheaper and readily available. At least up until we were actually at war with them. Most people are really into helping free the world up until it affects their pocketbook, then they get cold feet. None of your bullet points would come as a suprise to most people, but China is on the other side of the planet and not high on the priority list of most people. And thanks to the way corporate structures work it's not just a sticker check to make sure something is made in America, a lot of those products do final assembly here but the components are made elsewhere, like the computer you're using to read this.

Get my drift?

Yes, the stench of protectionism hiding behind a self righteous facade of caring about human beings is quite pungent.

Exactly. The horror of working and middle-class families having the opportunity to buy stuff for their families at low prices!

The whiners should go the Third World. Or better yet, take a Third Worlder to a Wal-Mart, and ask them whether they'd like to have something like that in their country. Wal-Mart is a quintessentially American store. It doesn't have all the lovely old world charm of a mom and pop, but then that's not what most Americans are looking for anyway.
