Yes. He said specifically CNN and the American press.
There was a thread this weekend about members of the Turkish Parliament(?) passing around political cartoons from our press. Apparently, these cartoons reiterated what CNN had said re: blackmailers. To say they were not flattering towards Turkey would be an understatement.
He seemed, to me anyway, to know that the vote would be tight, and was trying to explain why it would be. Also, he may have been trying to get CNN and the press to back off. Can't say that I blame him.

So correct, what I also saw interesting is the fact that so many here don't see a big picture and personally, rather than allow the Turkey vote become the issue, the Pentagon had stated a while back they had alternative plans.
Basically, move on and if that is what is then accept it.
SO no I do not blame the vote, I don't like it don't agree with it but understand fully after watching CNN and its mis-information for years.
Do not want it to become the issue, another track like N. Korea to pull away from the target. I also don't want the US be pictured as a beggar, bully, and portrayed as buying friends, instead of paying for usage of land, space of the nation, a clean straight up contract with no hidden agenda like the "LEFTIST" do.

CNN today (I only have it and MSNBC)-anyway CNN hasn't uttered one word all day long about the MEDIA having any role in the decision of the Turk government. They totally are laying blame at Bush admin's feet saying they rushed Turkey too much. They don't say one word about their words or cartoons or anything.
Mum has been the only word about any media involvment from CNN. Hypocrites. Lots of CYA going on at CNN.

To say they were not flattering towards Turkey would be an understatement. Why should CNN cut Turkey any slack? It's the wahhabi Muslim countries that get lauded. Turkey isn't politically correct enough for them - unless the Islamists happen to win an election, or there's some human rights flap going on (like that NYTimes article last year about communists "languishing" in Turkish prisons.)
