At the Rennie's on Midlothian Trnpk/Courthouse gas has been $1.49 for the last six weeks.

Excellent idea you have with the FR booth at the Richmond Rally For America.

Thanks for the draft info, Sultan.
Second question: How many of each position, including pitchers, can we, or should we put on our list? And I couldn't find any pinch hitters. I wanted Edgaaarrr Martinez, but can't find him.

Hey Aloha Ronnie,

Based on your recommendation, I'm going to watch "We Were Soldiers" .Mel Gibson is one of the Good Guys. Supports Bush, and our war on terror. Refuses to wear silly ribbons, at Back-Slapping Awards.

Thanks, FRiend

jla, it's OK to fall for a pretty liberal woman musician, but Mud appears to be swept off his feet by Springstreet!

"How is it you guys came to be Oakland!?! A's fans?"

When I was a kid the A's were still in Kansas City and they were always battling the Senators for last place. To make matters worse, whenever they got a decent player they would trade him to the Yankees and get nothing in return. They lost Roger Maris, Ralph Terry, Clete Boyer (Landru's Cousin) and many others that went to New York and helped the Yankees win pennant after pennant. The joke was that Kansas City was the Yankees' best farm team.

Being from the New York Yankee radio and TV area, I eventually got tired of the Yankees winning all the time and started to hate them vehemently (I was 8 years old) and decided to pick my own team to root for. After seeing how badly the Yankees had treated the A's I gravitated to them. I liked their players and that big white elephant. When they moved to Oakland, I stuck with them. Became friends with Tony Phillips back in 87 and he was able to get me lots of neat A's memorabilia and autographs. Also free tickets (sat with his parents) at Baltimore games when the A's came east. etc etc

I will be unable to attend the Patrick Henry affair because of the soupfest that I am judging, but yankhater is planning on going. Maybe he would like to join y'all for lunch. Will verify tomorrow as he will be in town.

"...this team in Green&Gold uniforms got swept in the AL Series by someone..."

That was the Baltimore Orioles of the Jim Palmer era. But the A's came back in '72, '73, and '74 to win three World Championships.

You can rank as many as you want at each position, but you will only be able to draft based on the position criteria set up by the commish. By looking at your team page you can see how many of each position will be on your active roster.

BTW we still have three more openings.

Boy, do I know that.

Being a child in '69, I really wasn't aware of the Miracle Mets. That was the Palmer era O's. However in '73 I was well aware of the team in green and gold.
