LOS ANGELES - Actor Martin Sheen (news) said NBC executives fear his opposition to a U.S.-led war against Iraq (news - web sites) will hurt his popular television show "The West Wing (news - web sites)."
Sheen, who plays fictional U.S. President Josiah Bartlet on the NBC series, told the Los Angeles Times for a story Sunday that the show's staff has been "100 percent supportive" but top network executives have "let it be known they're very uncomfortable with where I'm at" on the war
The 62-year-old actor helped lead a "Virtual March on Washington" last week that flooded the White House with thousands of anti-war e-mails and has spoken out against the potential war in public.
NBC spokeswoman Rebecca Marks told The Associated Press Sunday that she knows of "no concern among top management at NBC regarding Mr. Sheen's stand against the war or fear that it could impact the show."

Good God woman, don't you have anything better to do with your life. Get cable, or better yet, take an interest in something, anything, and begin to read. You spent five plus hours letting your mind rot.

Nice to have Sen. Fred Dalton Thompson on Law and Order. Gave us a reason to start watching it again.Fred Thompson Wednesday Law & Order bump.
I believe Vince D'Onfrio (sp?) of Sunday night Law & Order signed the NY Times ad against the war.

He really thinks he has that kind of power? Does anyone really care what Martin Sheen thinks? He's an actor, not a statesman. (YOU JUST PLAY THE PRESIDENT ON TV, YOU DON'T REALLY HAVE THAT KIND OF INFLUENCE. Sorry to burst your bubble, guy.)

Good God woman, don't you have anything better to do with your life. What concern of yours is her free time?
Get cable,
Oh yeah, those old "Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place" reruns really stimulate the mind.
or better yet, take an interest in something, anything, and begin to read.
Psst...there's a lot of crappy books out there too.
You spent five plus hours letting your mind rot.
BS. Broadcast TV is like any other medium; you have to sift through the junk to find the watchable stuff. For example, "Law and Order" is so good the cable station TNT heavily relies on it. Best writing out there.

These "celebrity" idiots thought that the country would mourn 9-11 for a few months and then go back to business as usual. They don't seem to realize that most people have gotten sick and tired of their liberal BS and want them to STFU already. I remember seeing a poll on FNC a couple of days ago that showed that ~87% of americans don't care what they think.

Is it true that the shows popularity/ratings are going down? I heard something to the effect that this might be the last season.
