U.S. Officials Name Mastermind of Twin Tower Attack and Charge that Saddam Hussein is the Puppet Master

A report in the Sunday Independent U.K. alleges that Khalid Sheik Mohammed was the true Mastermind behind al Qaeda's Twin Towers Terror attack. Also implicated by this major breakthrough is Ramzi Yousef, convicted of a leading role in the 911 attack on New York. Officials in the United States are jubilant over the capture of Mohammed in Pakistan.

Bush officials say they have established links between Mohammed, Yousef and Saddam. While the U.S. is very protective of its security, it now appears certain that many people have spilled the beans on Saddam. In addition, it is likely the U.S. has covert intelligence that the U.S. Military, CIA and NSA have known about for months.

There is a strong likelihood that Yousef may be an Iraqi agent operating under a deep cover assignment.

The final countdown on Saddam has begun. Tick, tick, tick ...

IMHO GW has farted around long enough. Either we attack in the next several days or the attack on Iraq is not going to happen. The State Department, unless this is some feint by Turkey, has royally screwed up. We should have ignored the UN at the first, move our materiel far faster than we have, and solidified putting troups in Turkey a long time ago. It is already starting to warm up in Iraq. First, they demanded a "smoking gun", the inspectors then found the illegal missiles.

Then, they demanded a link to Al-Qaeda. Now they've got that.

They still have on the table the cost of the war (and the list of lib programs that could be funded instead), the "going it alone" (despite the many countries already signed up with us), the UN resolution needed (despite the 18 or so already in hand), etc. etc.

This most recent capture, combined with our current troop status (force finally built up to sufficient level), makes it quite likely that now the facts connecting Saddam and two WTC attacks will be vetted under the guise of data gleaned from Kahlid Mohammed. Time to roll.

Never let a liberal warp out of a battle they suddenly figure out they're going to lose. They don't have the intellectual integrity necessary to make them stick around with any particular argument, particularly when they find out it is a loser. Don't expect them to.
