You'd be surprised at the number of FReepers who have ADD I was diagnosed with it back in 1996. Right now I have fifteen Internet Explorer windows open, along with four other applications. And I have a pretty good idea what's in each of those IE windows, without looking. I hesitate to tell people that I 'have' ADD. For now, I look at it as a loosely defined set of characteristics that best describes how my brain works. I can't (or find it very difficult to) have just one browser window open. For the same reason, I have about ten books within three feet of my bedside, all of which I'm 'currently reading'.
FR and ADD don't (or do, depending on your perspective) mix! Especially on the live threads! I can hyperfocus to the point where I actually read each and every reply to a 2000+ post thread, in near-real-time. It's killer on my eyes, though!

"...Anyways, I picked it up and perused it and got bored pretty quickly. Nothing but straw-man arguments and flawed circular "logic". The book is garbage, and a very weak response to the well-documented, impeccable arguments made by the much more gifted writers Bernard Goldberg and Ann Coulter....."
Someone from the left building a staw man and then cutting him down!! Heavens, I never thought it would stoop that low. Props to you for saving me the time and effort to lift that weighty tome off the display table at B&N.

Another fact he flung at his tiny, badly-dressed book store audienceLOL! This description is great! Those C-SPAN bookstore presentations seem to act as a magnet for mismatched, decades-old plaids and the bodies currently inhabiting them.

FR was also responsible for "Jesse Go Home" in front of the West Palm Beach courthouse.

people came to Free Republic and stayed for 5+ hours, making us an unbeatable force
What does he mean by the 5 hours? I have been here ever since.....
And yes, we are an unbeatable force.

...still lusting for Florida...This morning, on C-Span 2, Eric called it the 'Florida crisis'. I always recommend starting off the day with a hearty laugh...

You can be pretty sure every lefty butch librarian in the country has made sure your tax dollars went to buy at least one copy. And you can be equally sure nobody else in town is rushing over there to check it out.Set aside some time and read it at the library; don't check it out, or else that'll be used as evidence that the public wants more pinko books on the shelves.

RC, I saved your reply 150 to disc, and urge others to do the same. It was superb.

We need to start FR anonymous. Not to cure our addiction, but to figure out a way to get the dishes out of the sink and STILL indulge. I just make sure I have a path to the computer, and I'm fine.

I would like to know how much of Saddam's / Kim's / China's billions are filtering their way into Alterman's pockets. Alterman's book will be a dud - but his tirades continue. He and his comrades(liberals/leftists/socialists/communists/terrorists) do not participate in the "campaign to stop the truth" without being PAID $$$$.
(Unlike Freepers, of course, who spread truth as a labor of love - for the TRUTH.)
That's the other thing that galls Hitlery's thugs-er - troops to no end since NONE of them work for "free". Every single one of them has a price, and they are paid very very well. I'd just like to be able to follow the money and track their "support" to the source.
If we ever do get into Baghdad, it would be nice if we could get control of their financial records before they are shredded, wouldn't it?

Thank you, kind sir! It's been sent and re-sent so many times since inaugeration day..sigh. The VLWC media knows.
Remember when the press "discovered" the old mildly-intoxicated-while-driving Bush "scandal" a week before the election? Coincidentally, earlier that same day, Janet Reno told the press that she would be opening an investigation into Al Gore's pulling the plug on a multi-year drug investigation (after the Houston detectives cried foul at the cover-up) because the #1 suspect made a BIG $$$ donation to Al's campaign. A mob of "mainstream" journalists chased the ancient DUI story. The W. Times reported the Gore story.
When I asked a local NBC TV news manager why the Gore story was being covered-up, following three days of "DUI" coverage into the weekend before election day, this news boss said of the Washington Times, "That right-wing rag?! It's owned by the Moonies." I asked him whether he believed that Janet Reno would grant the Washington Times an exclusive? He conceded the point, but no mention of the Gore story appeared in Mr. Alterman's supposed "right wing" mainstream media. Who owned VNS, again?

He also said Free Republic was repsonsible for the flood of Republican activists who descended on the state and therefore was responsible for the Bush presidency. It would have been really cool if Brian Lamb or whoever was moderating the show looked at him, kind of smiled and said "soooooreloserman."
To: Deb
Oh, my goodness, did we do all that?
Bwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha...
That idiot doesn't know half of it.
