Some good stuff has been sneaking in probably because they have wakened and smelled the coffee. I cancelled my subscription right after the Supreme Court decision for Bush.

On the front page they put all the Supreme Court Justices pictures and highlighted the 5-4 decision, never mentioning the 7-2 one. It was misleading. When I called them about it, the excuse was that they didn't have all the information, being in the newsroom. I told them that I, as a housewife, was aware from cable news and there was no excuse.

I actually cried when I cancelled, because my grandfather was a pressman for the Star for his entire working career. He put the headlines in the window when the Titanic sank. Their bias for Gore broke my heart.

I am reading them on-line, and if they go back to the way they were I will subscribe again. Otherwise, I will get my news on line.

I think a lot of them are just jealous of western nations because of the wealth. But we have worked hard for any wealth or material goods we have accumulated. Nobody is just going door to door giving us money.
