I'm extremely careful in my purchases...and tend to make quite a bit from scratch. It burns me up when I lose money on an item that's bad.

I almost forgot...I purchased a jar of pickles and didn't check the top. Got home and was ready to open it when I realized someone had already opened it...the pressure was gone from the top cap. grrrr...took that one back to the market too. heavy sigh.

My daughter makes her own pudding now. I bought 1/2 cup containers and she prepares and fills up the cups every week. Are your kiddos old enough to consider that one? The prepackaged puddings are convenient but spendy.

Well, my 3 year old is really picky, but my 19 month old will eat anything. I'll make the pudding for her and hopefully her big sister will eat it after watching her. I'll keep a look out for the 1/2 cup containers. Thanks!!
