Logo reinstated 2/25/2003 By a vote of By five to one, the Osseo-Fairchild school board voted Monday to reinstate the previously banned Indianhead logo.

Efforts now are underway to add a referendum to the April ballot.

The referendum would ask voters whether the use of the former chieftans logo as appropriate.

While referendum questions were not finalized in Monday's special school board meeting, it didn't come without opposition..including a pre-meeting protest and one arrest.

District officials say getting the referendum on an April ballot would be difficult, however, board members say a decision is needed now rather than later.

Groups opposing the use of the logo say the compromise of keeping the nickname the Chieftans and discontinuing the logo has been broken..and they'll be seeking an injunction to prevent the reinstatement of the logo.

Well so did Menononie and Osseo-Fairchild cave. Enough people got together had a recall, kicked those who voted for this off the school board. And reinstated there old logo.
So it may be to early to say who caved yet.
I think Shawano is also on the “ caved “ list. But these towns are on the other side of the state from me. So I don’t know what’s happening over there.
