Gods and Generals is one of the most devoutly Christian films ever made. The movie is free from the usual Hollywood obscenities, carnage and nudity, and lacks the liberal revisionist portrayals of all things Southern. It does portray war as a terrible institution, and IMHO is the most historically accurate "War of Northern Agression" movie I have ever seen.

But without a doubt, the movie is for Christians, the leaders and men pray devoutly througout the movie, without shame or pretense. Lang should get an oscar for his portrayal of Gen. TJ Jackson - he WAS Jackson.
