The Log Cabin is coming along, I will continue to post pics of it as it progresses. I will be doing all the interior finish work in it too.

They are nice but costly, $180 to $200 a square foot. COB1 wants one too. cept he's out at sea for a while.

He also brought some ribs home. We're going to fix them like hot wings. Cut them apart and back them then put Frank's hot sauce on them

Mmmmmm....that sounds so good!
I'm going to slow cook my short ribs on a low heat in a homemade chipotle BBQ braising sauce...makes them so tender the meat falls off the bone. Just need to bake some potatoes and serve with cole slaw.

Nutmeg & Zelig ----I won't forget meeting you guys, for the first time, at a Hillary Freep. You made an impression then,--- and still do.

LOL! One of your biggest achievements, IMMHO, was to impress your teen-ager son!! Now THAT is really something!! LOL!

We will never forget when we met you as well. THAT was a pretty amazing Freep, wasn't it? I didn't even mention it on our profile above (there were so many back in 2000). That was a pro-Israel/Anti-Hillary Freep, right in front of Hillary's campaign HQ on Seventh Avenue. I remember it well. Peggy Noonan walked by the rally... I'll bet she knew all about that FReep by reading FR, and just came by to see what we were up to! LOL (We love you, Peggy!)

That story about our son is true... He was impressed that his dad ended up in an AP photo - he knew the significance of that, as opposed to a local newspaper's photo. He looked at us with new eyes from then on. :-)

I went to the MCI Center tonight and you'd think with the Hoyas playing we wouldn't get much interest. But there was a *lot* -- include this group of Georgetown students that swarmed us with flyers and said they were going to announce it to their group. makes me very hopeful -- we handed out a lot of flyers. :)

Isn't it? Nutmeg, it's *so good* connecting with real people who are *eager* for a flyer on a support-our-troops. We met a lot of them. In our rally thread, we have Freepers coming from Pittsburgh (Badray), San Fran (HighRoadtoChina), and Chicago (ChicagoLady). A lot of enthusiasm out there.
