On local news here, most of the bands that called in and said that they had used pyrotechnics at this club did so under different management. These brothers have only owned the club for about two years.
But I do think that there is plenty enough blame to be shared by them and the band. If you own a club then you should know what's going on in it. If you are a group, and pyrotechnics are part of your act, then with this experience you have to know that this is not going to work in a club with very low ceilings and eggcrates for a backdrop. I'm wondering how the fire department ever said that this place was within code.
