The dammage to indian COMMERCIAL claims. What happens when it is tangibly provent the indians were only one of many? Does that mean I am able to open a casino on my land?
Indians came here like everyone else. Indians never owned the land. They thought they were cheating the dutch by selling manhatan. Their thoughts were that no one can "own" an island. They were wrong.

They thought they were cheating the dutch by selling manhatan. Their thoughts were that no one can "own" an island. They were wrong. Actually while there wasn't much of a sense of individual ownership there was tribal ownership of lands. And as to the selling of Manhattan, the tribe that sold it didn't own it in the first place.
