Having lived in the Houston & Deer Park area, Eric May knows what he speaks of-- Houston, all of Texas' larger cities and nuke plants are high on the terrorists' list. We can just hope they don't get the chance to do their dirty work.

We've lived in Houston too and still have family there. I say it's smart to be prepared. I'd rather have and use the plastic and tape, than wonder why I believed naysayers, like the media and Daschle who have an agenda. Their amusement with the tape and plastic makes me sick. There is no bottom to the pit they inhabit.

Very true, my dear.
Also, duct tape makes a very good bandage.

I had to explain this at my sister's card club the other night. They had paid too much attention to the DJ's and comedians and had, of course, not purchased any. My sister said "I suppose you went right out and bought some."
I said I had had it for over a year, and it is what the Israelis are doing. Of course, they all laughed at me and made comments like "It won't do any good" or ""Am I supposed to seal my car?"
I gave up. Hopefully, since most of them live in the suburbs or in rural areas they won't need it.
In my opinion, Daschle is risking costing Americans their lives with his political opportunism.

Duct tape makes excellent bandage. Also can be used to hold a splint in place.

In my opinion, Daschle is risking costing Americans their lives with his political opportunism.Just what we all would expect. The Left is hinging their comeback on the loss of American lives. With their resistence to a united U.S. front, they are aiding and abetting the enemy for self gain - lowest of the low.

Also can be used to hold a splint in place.I guess it would be good to hold irresponsible mouths shut too.

"I recently had defibrillation training (you know the keen little machine that can save lives) and learned that the defibrillator pads might not stick to a hairy chest. Duct tape to the rescue!!!! Grab the duct tape, stick it on the chest hair and then rip it off, and then go going to save the persons life!!!!! I am in the environmental protection business, and we use duct tape to seal our tyvek suits and full face air filters!!!!"--- Reggie from PA

Duct tape is like the Force in Star Wars; it has a light side, a dark side and it holds the universe together.

Duct tape saves young (drunk) mans life
Drunk Helper I may well have saved my roomate's life w/ducttape -- BY TYING HIM UP. The dude was drunk as a skunk, man, and he went to take the car for a joyride. Both myself and our other roomate, Kyle, tried to reason with him and explain that he and others were in real danger if he drove the car drunk. He was unwilling to listen, and really wanted to get to his girlfriend's apartment that night -- so he tried to dodge us and take off anyway. We physically restrained him for a minute and then realized that we both needed to be somewhere and couldn't fight with this dude all night. We were about to give up on him, when Kyle noticed a large roll of heavy duty ducttape right on our fridge. Within ten minutes we had him duct taped real good to a kitchen chair. If anyone EVER wondered about the strength of ducttape against a wild criminal mind on a bender -- FEAR NOT. With multiple layers of the tape holding him in the char, even this dude was absolutely stuck. Cruel? I don't know -- I'm still convinced we saved his butt. --- Peter

When I was a general staff officer we routinely envisioned worst-case scenarios to test our preparedness. But sir, (addressing Mr. May) did you actually conduct tests of these materials to see if they really could hold off those noxious fumes?
