Meanwhile, Al Franken the author of Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot thinks there's another reason for not trying to ape Rush. "I think the audience isn't there for a liberal Rush," he said on the Donahue show, "Because I think liberals don't want to hear that kind of demagoguery." ..........the very definition of a Liberal.

Didn't ``the Al Franken Decade'' end a long time ago?

Conservative radio is popular not only because it's entertainment -- but also because it's coherent. Liberal orthodoxy can't be justified with reason. It's feel-good, mamby-pamby, big-tent, one-world crap. You can't sustain that kind of delusional psychosis with talk radio. The kind of people that are attracted to such drivel only congregate at flag-burnings and anti-American pep rallies on the Washington Mall. They don't have an attention span that goes much beyond asking, "What about ME? What about MY NEEDS?" And they can't simply resort to cheap theatrics and lampoon conservatives because, frankly, our culture is becoming more conservative every year as the Boomers evolve from the Free Love to Gated Senior Community.

I highly encourage well-intentioned liberals to pour their money down the talk radio rathole. It will only detract from their political contributions and elect more conservatives. I've said it once -- and I'll say it again. Let liberals have their fantasy version of reality (ie. The West Wing, etc). They can formulate any policy they like in Fantasyland. Let Martin Sheen pretend that he's relevant to anything more than a mile of cheap videotape. We'll keep the real world.
