I am really upset at the coverage of the Rally, (Channel 13) a few seconds of clips and none of the speakers shown or heard.
This same station shows the Anti War Protestors (20 people maybe) at Street intersections a few weeks ago and gave them interview time, and showed the same clips over, and over again.
We need a local FREEPER TV STATION LOL!
Channel 9 had a little better coverage.

Agree. We need to keep pushing the local and national conservative media to give exposure to Pro America events. I've emailed Schnitt from 970WFLA radio in Tampa re today's wonderful rally and to ask him to do something similar in Tampa. I also emailed Sean Hannity and Fox and Friends to ask that they mention today's rally. We need to let the world know that mainstream Americans have a voice!

Checking in here. This was my very first Freep, and it was a great time. I was in the back, near the sound system control building, along with a bunch of the Florida Freepers. We had lots of signs, lots of American flags, and Luke's bullhorn to let everyone know who we were.
The attendance at the rally was announced as 2,000, and better yet, the "peace" crowd could only muster about 125 or so. They were several blocks away and out of sight, except for a couple that UCFRoadWarrior spotted who wandered over to our party. However, UCF said that Orlando Police were right on them and got them out of the area quickly. And that was pretty much it as far as police activity - all they had to do for the rest of the day was enjoy the event along with the crowd.
The local TV stations carried coverage of the rally on the evening news, and TWO stations showed signs of ours with freerepublic.com prominently displayed. Better yet, wire service reporters were also present and were interviewing folks (not I). All in all, it was a great, uplifting day. It was so nice to see a rally where the American flag was being displayed and waved with pride, and not being burned, spit on or urinated on.
I took quite a few pictures myself, and want to share them somehow. I've got 250 Mb of bandwidth per month with my ISP (Earthlink), so I'm thinking I may not be able to upload pics there and link them without busting that limit quickly. So I may end up setting up a Webshots account and posting a URL to a photo album.
I'm definitely goign to have to do this again, and soon! Thanks to all the Florida Freepers who were there and made me feel like part of the family. I hope we'll be getting together again soon!

Schnitt is a good guy. I listened to him on 540 in the afternoons before they switched to Hedenger.

The event itself was awesome. The patriotism was expected, but what made the trip incredible was the speeches the men (and women) of honor gave.
Are there any other plans for future Rallys in Orlando? If not, it would be great to counter the protesters next Saturday...
As mentioned in some other threat, here are some pics:

I am really upset at the coverage of the Rally, (Channel 13) a few seconds of clips and none of the speakers shown or heard. We watched coverage at our after-action dinner at Smoky Bones BBQ - saw Channel 6 and Channel 9. We didn't get the audio since we were in a restaurant, but the pro-America people got a lot more time than the pro-Saddam morons.
I won't be able to watch it again - I have DirecTV, and my area (Eastern Polk County) is considered the Tampa market, so I only get the Tampa local stations.

It's great that you had such a good turnout. Thanks for the report.

By the way True to Form Channel 13 just aired the Rally again with some more interviews, but they also ran, a clip of the Peace Protestors on a Street Corner with their Bongo Drums and their Baggy Pants (looking like a bunch of retarded street bums).
The News Girl, introduced them as the ones in favor of a Peaceful alternative to Force, (Don't make me BARF).
And I TAKE ISSUE with that being the PEACEFUL ALTERNATIVE.
PEACEFUL for WHOM, PEACEFUL FOR SADDAM? and his Cronies who Rape IRAQ and threaten us with WMD.
I am ready for a more PERMANENT PEACE after we have BOOTS on the GROUND in IRAQ, and SADDAM is 6 ft under, or on TRIAL!

Here's some pictures!

Flags of our allies were represented ...

As for those who choose NOT to be our allies ...

Me neither, ma'am. I don't recognize the Hollybabe at the upper left corner of her sign, but the others are Martin Sheen, Danny Glover and George Clooney.

Sage advice for those who would stand against us.
