[history]
I PROBABLY would have been treated to the same anti-American rhetoric that I saw in Barcelona's anti-war protest Saturday if I'd been at the San Francisco protest Sunday. But I was in Barcelona, where Europhiles tell me I should encounter a more elegant and nuanced approach to world affairs.

Debora J Saunders is the token conservative on the Crum-i-cule. She is a frequent guest on 560 Talk Radio in the morning on the Lee Rodgers show.
I wouldn't expect to see anyone else in San Francisco agree with her -- they keep her as a mascot -- and don't take her seriously. But yes a good article from a paper that hates America more than the French and Germans!

It's so funny. With the Americans towering over them in
every way, the Europeans have to stand on their heads to look down their noses (...up their noses?) at us.
As I say...the Notre Dame's gonna wind up in Arizona, the Louvre somewhere like Myrtle Beach. The Eiffel Tower? Probably in Las Vegas. The Neuschwanstein Castle? Orlando, of course. Some rock star's going to be living in El Escorial--outside of Chicago. Do you think they can move the Sistine Chapel to Salt Lake City without cracking the ceiling?

You beat me to that comment! I did a double-take!!!

"Notre Dame's gonna wind up in Arizona"
I work with many people in their 20's who have been raised in the political correctness of California -- where they were taught not to "hate" anyone of color. If fact no matter what a person of color does they cannot condem any action.
So now they have been liberated to hate the French and they are loving it. This political correctness has its good point after all!

I hope nobody's hating the French or (anybody else) in Santa Cruz. It's against the law.
To: Savage Beast
Santa Cruz is a "HATE FREE ZONE"!!! (There is an exception for Republicans if you read the statute.)
You're right and I forgot.
I think that you can get a pass if you hug a homeless person in Santa Cruz if you accidently utter hate speech. The kicker is that the homeless person must be covered in human waste for it to count.
