1968 - An agreement between baseball players and club owners increased the minimum salary for major league players to $10,000 a year.

I miss the Sixties, Back then $10,000 dollars meant something!

An objective and responsible Media Corporation such as CBS would never use veiled language in order to stir up disgruntled overpaid self indulgent "stars" to wreak havoc on the morale of our Military and those who support it's Volunteers!

Reading my copy of Bernard Goldberg, Bias, I see CBS as capable of any treasonous behavior in pursuit of their political agenda.

CBS' Dan Rather posing with Castro, calling Clinton "an honest man", ranting on against Katherine Harris during the 2000 election aftermath--an election which Rather and company tried to throw by lying that Florida's polls were closed.

CBS offers Dave Letterman, an ass from all-white Broad Ripple Class of '65 who continues his anacephalic slander of our president.

I anticipate more treasonous behavior from celebrities empty of principle but full of coke and silicone.

All to the effect of diminishing their ratings, while highlighting the stature of our military men and women.

Bulgaria's Europe versus France's Europe

Many news articles have been written lately over the "new" Europe's support of America
versus those of the "old" Europe. Old Europe being made up of those stalwarts
France and Germany with Belgium picking up the rear. I'm sure more things could
be stated about the difference's between the East and West of Europe. However,
I think you will find that the relationship between Bulgaria and France has a
highlight of the differences that impact Europe as well as the United States.

France looks increasingly at countries like Bulgaria as mere puppets. The French
view Bulgaria as a country of poor peasants whose economic ability is
small, but whose potential is vast. France also sees in Bulgaria a nation that
is desperate to be relevant. With this need for relevance, the French took it
upon itself to make promises of monetary aid to the poor country. After all,
these Bulgarians would be applying to join the "greatest" power to
threaten the United States. France's vision for a European superstate was
progressing nicely for everyone--especially France.

Then September 11th hit.

No longer was France's excuse for harboring terrorists going to sit well with the
"cowboy" in the White House. No longer was sitting by while "grave dangers"
began stirring in the Middle East and North Korea. No longer was America or the world
going to sit idly by and allow Islamic fanatics to run the world in fear. America
was fighting back and fighting back hard. America's sense of purpose was clearly
stated. That didn't sit well with the Old Europe. Especially those in Paris.

It also had a huge impact on the "new" Europe as well. For it was countries like Bulgaria
that needed America to be strong and successful. As long as America's place in the
heirarchy was assured, Bulgaria would be safe from Russia or even the French.
Which is why you are seeing such a rift between France and Bulgaria.

The French look down upon the Bulgarian people. Yet, we've seen this before!

The French see the Bulgarians as unsophisticated. They are not an enlightened people
like French. There is no sense of culture and a definite lack of French spirit. There
is also a sense by the French that these Bulgarians are upstarts like a certain
upstart country that took the world by notice almost 300 years ago.

There was a country that the French considered to be poor, unenlightened, and
pathetic. This country wasn't even a country at the time. This small band of
disobedient people dared to stand up the great power of the time, England.
The French people snickered at the fall of England to such peoples.
Yet, they cheered the end of England's reign in this colonial country.
That country today represents the United States Of America. The greatest
country technologically, financially, and militarily has long since overtaken
France in relevance and thought. Yet, this mere example has been
a dream for many countries around the world. Many in France were
inspired by the American spirit during the American Revolution.

That is the difference between France's Europe and Bulgaria's Europe. France
has forgotten the lesson of the small colonial country that became a world power
and thus a beacon of hope, freedom, and liberty to many around the world. The
Bulgarians understand that America represented everything they dared not dream of
during Soviet occupation. Yet, America never allowed the Bulgarians or any other
Soviet oppressed country to be forgotten. France and Germany did for many
years. This is why Bulgaria and many like her will stand with America.
It is an obvious choice. Stand with freedom and democracy or stand
with supporters of oppressive regimes, failed policies, and no beacon of hope.

Does anyone blame Bulgaria? God Bless the tiny country of Bulgaria.
America cheers you on!!

1931 - The Chicago White Sox and the New York Giants became the first major league teams to play in a night game.

I love flawed History reports.

It is 21 February.

There is no way that that happened, on this date!

I could have posted it as accurate.

Would anyone else have questioned it as I did?

It is Bullsheite!

Here is where I got the link from!

Work? Is that like a job or something? If so, I have no idea what that is. Considering, I've been off since Wednesday. Although, you can cry me a river on Monday. I must return to that place. Well, that is if the little guy feels better. Little kids are mysteriously dying around here in the Hampton Roads area. The flu or whatever it is has really been bad around here. Here's hoping the kids in your neck of the woods are healthy!

Silent No Longer: The Anti-Anti-War Movement

Giant ‘peace’ marches are a perennial favourite of the mainstream media. During every conflict (or period of great international tension) over the last forty years television and the print media have been filled with long and flowery tributes to the unruly mobs who fill the streets of great cities to shout meaningless slogans in rallies organized by communist front groups. These groups, even though they represent a minority of public opinion, are usually presented as being both idealistic and morally correct- as righteous paragons of virtue.

The right has long chafed at the sympathetic coverage given of these protests. After all, most of these protests having nothing to do with peace at all- they’re really about attacking American power and promoting the causes of America’s enemies.

The most recent worldwide protests, for example, were organized by a group called “International ANSWER” (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) which, in turn, is a front for the Workers World Party, which was formed by a faction of pro-Chinese Communists in 1959 and has, throughout its history, supported such atrocities as the Soviet invasion of Czechoslovakia and Afghanistan. At one recent rally supporters started up a chant of (and I’m not making this up), “two, four, six, eight, defend the Korean worker’s state!”

However, the media (and those on the respectable left) have traditionally managed to brush aside the quirks of their allies (such as fervent support for totalitarian dictatorships) because they have proved to be such useful allies in their war against the right. In this goal they have long been assisted by much of the right who, afraid of being smeared as red-baiting McCarthyites, have failed to speak out against these openly treasonous groups or to truly fight back against them.

For example, while it is true that protestors were widely derided during the Vietnam War and that, occasionally, they were attacked by some stalwart patriots- no real movement to actively oppose them ever sprung up. The defense of the war was left almost entirely to the establishment, individual Americans who supported the war may have been loud, but they never learned to organize and fight back against the lies and dubious agendas of the anti-war left.

Many explanations have been offered for this. For one, conservatives tend to have a distaste for activities that involve screaming on the streets. They tend to view it as a low and undignified activity. In large part this, traditionally, has been because conservatives and Republicans have tended to come from a staid sort of background. That is why it was so shocking when, during the 2000 election dispute, a group of Republican consultants launched an impromptu rally.

Modern conservatives, however, come from very different backgrounds than their forbearers. They are more active, more assertive and willing to fight. In many ways the only barrier to their being as active as their leftist counterparts is the fact that they have jobs and most of their opponents do not. Because of this the War on Terrorism has sparked the rise of something new and wonderful- the anti-anti-war movement.

Made up of hard-core conservative activists, the anti-anti-war movement has emerged to fight the lies and challenge the propaganda of the anti-war movement. While it is true that this movement has yet to gain enough strength to effectively challenge the far-left, it is growing with each passing day. Already, the long-haired peaceniks are learning that they will no longer have a free ride.

For example, with the advent of the internet, many left-wing lobby groups have taken to organizing the blast-faxing of thousands of letters on particular issues. A few years ago the left would have been allowed to go about this sort of activity unobstructed. However, individual conservatives have discovered that they can sign up for the liberals’ fax services and use them to send conservative messages for free. This may only be a minor victory- but it is a vitally important one.

Conservatives are slow to organize, largely because conservatives tend to be busy people. However, when they are made truly angry, they can rise up and create seemingly spontaneous revolutions. They did it in 1980, 1994, and 2002, and they will do it again. The far-left, which has controlled the field by default for far too long, should shake with fear because, by their abrasive insolence, they have woken a sleeping giant and filled it with a terrible resolve.
