That has got to violate so many campaign finance rules it isnt even funny.

Unless FOX or HBO sets up a 1-900 line for a candidate to get 'donations from the people'

I'm not sure how they'll do it. I'd guess by incorporating they're own party and funding it fully on their own (there's no limit on how much the GOP can spend on their candidates). That's what lawyers are for, if there's a loophole their dudes will find it.

My thoughts exactly. How would HBO's publicity support conflict with the current campaign finance laws?

I dropped HBO last year. Their attempts to turn LBJ into a saint, of all things, was the last straw. I was tired of paying to support blatant liberal propaganda and HBO was the worst.
