Unsolicited Ping Lists

Over the past few weeks, I've noticed that I have been added to MANY ping lists without my asking. It seems to me this is much like spam and I should not have to "Freepmail you if I don't want on the ping list."
PLEASE do not add Freepers to your ping list if they do not ask for it. I am a very active user and barely have time to keep up with the lists in which I do participate, threads to which I have posted, and just catching up on the news without having to sort through and respond to unwanted "pings."
