Fox News: If war isn't the answer, suppose the war protestors want to tell us what IS?
Fox News Special Report with Brit Hume | 2/19/03 | Maryellen Davies (Wondervixen)

Posted on 02/19/2003 4:12:52 PM PST by Wondervixen

Anyone see the "Man on the Street" questions asked of sign carrying protestors around 6:30 p.m.? The reporter basically gave the peaceniks the rope and stood there as they hanged themselves.

Question #1 was "If war isn't the answer, what is?"

The protestors appeared to be dumbfounded by the query, the majority saying "I don't know" and a few offering up "Let the inspections work", which I'm sure only begged another question dealing with just how that is done?

To the many who barfed out the ignorant accusation that we're going to war so Bush can steal Iraq's oil, the reporter was once again armed with a Chrysler with high beams of a question, and the peaceniks didn't disappoint him, looking like deer in the headlights when he asked "Why didn't we take the oil in 1991 after Gulf War I?"

It was positively priceless!!!

I saw that and I'm still laughing. They asked several questions of each protester and the answers were hilarious.

In Seattle one of the non-conservative talk show hosts interviewed the spokeswoman for a protest group that shut down a bridge yesterday. He asked her a question on Neville Chamberlain. She had never heard of him.

Click on Protecking the Protestors to see the complete video. This would be funny if it did not show how uneducated these people are. There was a guy on Sean's radio show today. He was worse. Sean finally got him to admit he would not support the military in case of war, because it is not a "just" war.

I saw the report in question. It was excellent. The anti-war idiots were stumped when asked questions which required specific answers. It's as though they thought their way about 1/4 of the way through the issue of war with Iraq. My favorite question was the one that asked, "If the US wanted Iraq's oil/oilfields, why didn't we keep them after Desert Storm?" Response: Duuuuuh, I don't know.

Long video, but well worth it. It was great. Esecially the C*** that calls Bush a Scumbag... She had no response when asked why we didn't keep the oil after the Gulf War... What a c-sucker.

Sorry for the profanity. This just had me boiling mad.

These folks remind me of the Leno show where he asks people commonly simple questions, like who was president during the civil war, who was the first man on the moon, etc. and the responses are anything but correct.

These guys don't have a clue, period. My fav was the girl who stammered like crazy for over 10 seconds...I was in tears.

I saw the report in question. It was excellent.

I saw that too. It was awesome. So many of these people, dare I say the vast majority, are just plain stupid. And as such, their opinions don't count for much. Sure, they have the right of free speech, but they abuse the hell out of it by not knowing what they're talking about.

Ya, me mates been passin' this around all day at school. It's a MUST SEE for everyone! My favorite was the comment about how instead of war we should send James Bond in to take out the opposition! lol....

Sean Hannity does a segment periodically, called "Man on the Street", where he asks people from (I cringe at this) NYC simple questions like "Who's the VP, who's the Secretary of State, etc. More often than not, they can't even name our VP. Pretty pathetic.

Someone on FR posted an artifact, tongue in cheek, but with lots of truth to it. It went something like this

"Bulletin - 279 million Americans DON'T protest the war. Think about it. With all of the hoopla, a relatively puny number of people nationwide demonstrated.

Those protestors were pathetic. They hadn't thought anything through and were just parrots of liberal celebrities.

Yeah, you have to watch the entire thing on the website listed above. Trust me, it's worth your time for a laugh.

I suspect most of the marchers were marching to be "hip" and in possession of little idea of what is really going on with Iraq.

Oh my gosh. This is like when clinton wanted to send in the black ninja. Wow, I wonder if James Bond and the ninjas can hook up and take out North Korea at the same time.
