He also played a great "Thulsa Doom" in Conan the Barbarian.

Why post a slam when the point of this thread is a tribute to a MAN in Full?

It's your side that takes Sean Penn as a serious anti-war protestor despite his resumee. Not to mention such peace loving luminaries such as Mumia and Danny Glover.
Sorry, if you don't see JEJ as being more credible than those bunch then you're the person who suffers from anal-cranium inversion. Not us.

I find it interesting that of all the roles that James Earl Jones has played (including that of James Greer from the Tom Clancy novels), they had to pick Darth Vader when it came to discussing the fact that he SUPPORTS President Bush with regards to Iraq. Oh, for the love of Pete. Why can't a celebrity say something positive without somebody inferring something negative about it. Get a grip.

Have you noticed that the "Hollywood" Big Guns stay "silent" until asked? Then when they opine it usually does'nt follow the "liberal" activist ideal. Amazing. Hollywierds "elite" have'nt figured out the real "actors" from the B movie grade ones that they promote.IOW a real master of the art of acting spoke today. (Not a [C]Looney clone)BTW I have always like JEJ. His voice captivates his audiences when they hear him speak.

Now that you mention it, I DO see the resemblance... very interesting

This is great news.
(too bad he was so ill-informed regarding Bosnia)

I was referring to the AP's coverage, not Mr. Jones's comments.

British actors carefully train their voices so they can do a variety of roles. I am impress by Renee Zellweger's ability to submerge her Texas accent and gratified that she still uses it when she is talking "normally."

Right after he shot Martin Luther King, too. The guy gets around.
Yeah, that's right! Remember last year when some plaque honoring him was erroneously worded "James Earl Ray"??

Back in the 80s, James Earl Jones provided the narration for a left-wing, anti-SDI "documentary" I saw. So the fact that he's for Bush on this is significant.

Of course, back in 1998 conservative peacenicks (who represented a majority on FR among the GOP members in Congress) would have slammned him because of his support for Bill Clinton's war in Kosovo.

Thank you Mr. Jones!
