Carter has crossed the line. I believe he is a traitor to his Country, and should be arrested and tried. I cannot accept that he continues to hold a commission (retired) in the United States Navy with his flagrant undermining of the national interests of his country.

Most people who remember the Iranian hostage crisis have little respect for Carter. Carter was absolutely useless during the crisis. The Iranians held our embassy staff hostage for over a year! With a prez like Bush in office, that would never happen - because any offending country would definitely regret it!

While that may be how you feel and I agree his comments are ill-timed and bordering on traitorous, the press would have a field day with that story. Can you imagine how the story would run in the world press? "Bush has Carter arrested!" Carter would become the victim/martyr of an oppressive American military regime, etc. etc. Oh yeah! Not good.

No....I think we have to prove him wrong once again by ignoring his RamseyClark style yellow patriotism. When the outcome on Iraq has been secured, the world made a safer place, the WMDs found and destroyed and the terrorists dealt another setback, then the word and fears of this weak man will seem foolish once again.

It's his destiny to be a weak little man.
