Don't "misunderestimate" Dubya. Those verbal Bushisms are beginning to "resignate" with the American people. Maybe they'll even "embetter" the English language.

Explained in FReepmail for you. Welcome, Newbie. :)
To: Diddley
His post was removed by the Admin Moderator because it was evil spirited and only meant to ruffle our feathers. He pretty much just said that we are all smarter than Bush and that we should start war right away. Except he worded it differently.
Welcome aboard to FR. What brought you here?

Thanks for the info.
I first heard of this site on Hugh Hewitt's program.
Once I "tested" it, I was hooked (my kind of people).

Thanks.
I like to say I'm from Wyoming (I was born and raised there) because there are so few people from that state.
I've been in Arizona for 30 years.

I think you have defined the word strategerist as "a strategist who never bluffs".

You are a true FReeper: hooked from the first bite.
I was born and raised in Arizona along the Colorado River. We get a lot of teachers from Wyoming and a lot of our teachers went up there.

BTTT Glad you're here, Diddley. I went to graduate school in AZ and love the state.

Jimmy Carter says "nucular," and the liberals don't pick on Jimmy. Clinton also says "nucular," but not all the time.
Anyway, my dad says "nucular," and he isn't any dummy, either.
To: McGavin999
Jimmy Carter did not say "nucular." He said "new-kee-yah." I don't know who started the myth that he said "nucular."
To: Arthur McGowan
BTTT "new-kee-yah." Precurser of No-ki-a ;)

"...I love strategery. [I wonder, does Saddam Insane realize a strategerist never bluffs?]..."Vol, there are several people that won't play poker with me anymore, but I'd never play with GW, unless it was just toothpicks! Those nukes are a definite difficulty.

President Bush did not actually say that. It was on Saturday night Live mocking the President.

You are correct. Bush did not actually say it. But he seems to get the credit for it.

STRATEGERY! This was never actually said by Bush. It was part of a Saturday Night Live skit where they were lampooning Bush. Probably 90% of the stuff attributed to Bush, he never said. Once you get a reputation though, it is easy for people to believe anything attributed to you is true (Ford's being clumsy, Quayle's misspelling, Gore stretching the truth.)
To: Libertina
What a fun post. When my son was four, he said something or other was "idgitating."
I don't know why that's not a word...it perfectly expresses what we've all experienced: Being aggrevated by an idgit.
I vote for "idgitate" to be added to the dictionary.
To: McGavin999; Libertina
Besides, anyone in a day misspeaks - we just don't have the camera on us 24/7. Ugh. Someone studied the speeches of W and algore on the campaign trail (sorry I don't know who or where the info is), but algore made as many verbal gaffes as W did......only the press didn't jump on them, because he was supposedly 'smart' (isn't that a yuck?!)
But, McGavin....you're right, when President Bush made fun of his own speech at the Al Smith dinner, and then even more at the Press Club dinner, he captured the world with his wonderful sense of humor, and 'comfortability' with himself.

These aren't exactly Bushisms, they're more of an "accent," but I like them.
Terra = terror
Lorni = Laura and I
Armadilluh = armadillo
wuddn't = wasn't
