Senior democrats have accused the CIA of sabotaging weapons inspections in Iraq by refusing to co-operate fully with the UN and withholding crucial information about Saddam Hussein's arsenal.
Led by Senator Carl Levin, the Democrats accused the CIA of making an assessment that the inspections were unlikely to be a success and then ensuring they would not be. They have accused the CIA director of lying about what information on the suspected location of weapons of mass destruction had been passed on.

The current director over at the CIA is one of Levin's buddies. Time to get him out of there and replace him with a Bush confidant.
It's also time to replace Levin, but that's for a different thread.

This is getting out of control. The administration needs to get this show on the road immediately or risk being hamstrung by an ever-accelerating series of obstructions being thrown in its path.

What idiots! 1441 was designed to test Iraqi compliance it was NOT designed to test whether inspections would work. The CIA shouldn't have given the inspectors anything.

Hans Blix couldn't find his own ass with two hands and a flashlight. Levin is just making excuses. Besides, the CIA has already led the inspectors by the nose to all the proof we need of Iraq's nuclear weapons program. This article is pure BS.

What are these morons thinking?
It's the CIA's job to murder people, lie to people, steal things, eavesdrop. It's not their job to play cuddlybutt with a bunch of blue hats. It's not their job to break the graham cracker down the middle line and share nicely with the other children.

Mr Levin has raised his concerns with the White House. In a letter to President Bush, the senator asked that America provide the inspectors with as much information as available. That's easy enough.Sorry Mr. Levin, that is a matter of national security.
He wrote: "The American people want the inspections to proceed, want the United States to share the information we have with the UN inspectors and want us to obtain United Nations support before military action is used against Iraq."
Really?I don't remember being asked about this and I am a citizen of the USA.

Sure the inspectors want to string their work out for another year.
Guess who's paying their high priced salaries?

What in HELL is WRONG with the frikkin' Demoncraps? How can anyone in his right mind support or vote for these sick, suicidal, anti-American FREAKS?
Human civilization had better wake up soon and get as serious about its survival as the seventh-century savages of Islam are about our annihilation!

Senator Levin, from Michigan, responded by saying the CIA director had not been telling the truth. Citing a number of classified letters he had obtained from the agency, he said it was clear the CIA had not shared information with the inspectors about a "large number of sites of significant value". Senator Levin -- a loose cannon security risk?

Democrats have first an always are slave owners, members of the KKK, and copperheads.
The only time they get us in a war is to advance their own agendas (WWI, WWII, Kosovo, Viet Nam), it is their historical pattern and lot in life.

So in other words, Iraq has been violating 1441? Yep, we need more "inspectors", about 250,000 of them.

Tuesday, George Tenet, the CIA director, told the armed services committee panel that the agency had provided the UN inspectors with all the information it had on "high" and "moderate" interest locations inside Iraq those sites where there was a possibility of finding banned weapons. But Mr Tenet later told a different panel that he had been mistaken and that there were in fact "a handful" of locations the UN inspectors may not have known about. So which is it? Maybe if Tenet could keep his stories straight, there wouldn't be so many questions being raised about the inspections process. Odd that the CIA keeps pointing to locations of WMD that aren't there.

Don't be stupid. You should know by now that when a democrat says "I speak for the American people", he means "I speak for my party".

Forgotten in all this is Blix originally telling the US he DID NOT WANT our intelligence because then Iraq accuses the UN of being spies for the US. This needs to be repeated by each and every GOP talking head regarding this issue.
