Any of you Christians out there happen to watch Charles Stanleys InTouch program this morning entitled a A Nation at War? It was a pretty good message about when War is and is not justifies as per the Bible. Charles was kind of getting worked up there at the end talking about the protestors :). Its a must see sermon. Two thumbs up! Actually started to bring tears to my eyes a few times (dont tell anyone).
If you missed it on the tube, you can see it on RealPlayer/MediaPlayer at: www.intouch.org/War/index_38027182.html

I don't trust holy-rolly TV hucksters, but Charles Stanley appears to be the Real Thing. I'll give a listen.

I wholly agree with you.
This sermon BLOWS the lid off of any anti-war argument.
Our existence is inter-twinded with God's plan.
We forget this when we are self-absorbed until something like this happens.

"I don't trust holy-rolly TV hucksters".
I hear ya. I'm 39 and was an Agnostic most my adult life, and the Big Hair/mega-Makeup/Crying-in-tower types helped keep me that way for a long time. I do like like Charles Stanley and Joel Osteen though. They seem like stand up Guys.

The wife watches him every week, but if I remember correctly he was a Clinton supporter, playing up the forgiveness bit. If I'm wrong I stand corrected.

D.James Kennedy, Coral Ridge Ministries is another outstanding example of a Christian Patriot. All this month his sermons have been focused on Founding Fathers and principles of our nation. Last weeks "Spiritual State of the Nation" was excellent.

the Big Hair/mega-Makeup/Crying-in-tower types They always appeared as phoneys to me because I tried, or decerned the spirits. We can tell by seeing whether what they say or do lines up with the Bible. Thats why we have all the wierdo's, and liberal churches today. They have left the Bible behind, or only use the parts they want for their own selfish purposes. I didn't give up Gods Spirit, or gifts because of some phoney move.

Excellent Biblical-correct message.(just watched it on cable)
Shame on all the "fearful, coward peace-niks"
May God bless our President and our military men and women. God will give us the victory over our enemies...He is still on His throne and has His plan for us and our nation!
To: Craigon
Charles Stanley tells it like it is. One of the few men that has been consistant and faithful in what he says and lives. Certainly a man that can be identified as being a Christian and not a phony.

After seeing your comments this morning, I watched (and taped) the re-broadcast of his message tonight. It was powerful, especially the part about not discouraging those who go to war. Also, his challenge to help those families whose loved ones are in the military was timely. Wouldn't it be great if the President heard/saw this message. I'm sure it would make his day.
God bless our President and our brave troops!

Thanks for the heads up on this sermon. This is a must-hear message for America.

Yes, Dr. Stanley and John MacArthur are the real thing and very good. Not the crooks that pop up every once in a while (Jim and Tammy Baker). I trust Stanley 100%.
