Photos from the Tower District "Peace March."

My guess is there was probably a couple thousand of "them" vs about ten of "us." We were pretty much alone on our little corner, at first, as a huge crowd began forming across the street. Hundreds of marxists, peaceniks, hippies and assorted weirdos kept streaming in until the parking lot was completely filled with a swarming mass of misguided humanity, and then they lined both sides of the street for about two blocks, including moving in on and surrounding us good guys. Learned first hand that the nice thing about being surrounded is, you can attack in any direction.

Them:

The good guys:

Present today: Jim Robinson, Saundra Duffy, Stuart Weil, At Bay, and several people who were with us last night. Sorry, I did not get there names. Plus, we were joined by a couple patriotic families who were attracted to our flags and banners.

After the street rally, they marched up to Fresno Community College about six blocks north of the Tower District. We positioned ourselves at the entrance to the campus and heckled "Saddam's Human Shields" as they passed to and fro in front of us.

One aging hippie lady couldn't take what we were dishing out and actually came after At Bay. He took a few steps backwards but the old hippie bull dyke kept charging. Hadn't been for a quick thinking police lady stepping in, I think the old gal would've given At Bay quite a beating.

Some peace rally. Oh, well. We were few in number but I'm glad we were there. There were camera crews and reporters present from several TV stations and newspapers. I'm sure they'll get a good write-up and I'm also sure that several of the camera crews got good shots of a handful of patriots proudly waving the flag amidst a sea of traitors!

Thanks! Great job! -- A little excitement for "At Bay", eh? Maybe next time he should bring catnip or garlic cloves to hold off attacking sea hags.

Not really. As long as you don't spit in the punch bowl you can come to the party.

You passed MY test, although I didn't realize I was giving you one at the time...

Can you stomach tomorrow's march in SF? If you can get through the homeless vomit, feces, and signs (one woman has been 'pregnant and god bless you for a hamburger' for three years), it's also supposed to rain. Although BART has been totally f*cked all week for the taxpayers going to work, they've promised to have fabulous service all weekend for the ponytail crowd. Cool - it's starting to pour tonight.

From the pictures I think Freepers had a very good representation! From the pictures, I also notice something else, which I have noticed numerous times before. The anti-war folks never wave an American Flag, while the Freepers do. This indicates to me that the anti-war people are anti-American. Well, many years ago I recall reading that when some faction takes over a country where a certain element of the population were traitors to their own country, they were the first to be executed, simply because they could not be trusted. Then they would try to brainwash the loyal population. I assume the theory is "never trust a traitor".

I saw a few flags on the other side today. One was upside down, one had a peace sign where the stars should be, one had zodiac signs (I'm assuming that's what they were) in the field of blue, one was being worn as a cape and another was in the form of a back pack. The only flags they possess are defaced, desecrated, denigrated or otherwise dishonored.

Aint it always the way the ones screaming peace are the ones starting the conflict!

Taxes penalize producers of wealth. Too much of the money taken from those who earn it is given as a reward to people who neither reap, nor sow.

Punishing workers and rewarding parasites is the worst possible system. Ultimately, the producers drop out of the system to one degree or another, the parasites multiply and consume all of a society's wealth.

Everyone starves.

I think that is a bad thing.

(What's worse, OUR tax system doesn't just take your money, it trys to rule every aspect of your life, penalties for getting married, rewards for buying a car over 5,000 lbs, approved charities, credits for this, that and the other thing, and overlaping penalties for some of the same things).
