German Hypocracy

Posted on 02/15/2003 3:49:06 PM PST by americanbychoice

I just read in the Frankfurt Allgemeine, (FAZ.DE) that the German Government had knowledge since the 9th of August 2002 about Iraq smallpox WMD. The paper is also publishing the momo sent to the Government by their BND (German CIA). The German Health Minister has obtained enough vaccinations for the entire population. Schroeder is still maintaining that they don't have any WMD. Even now he is claiming he didn't get a report. Those of you reading German, look at the copy of the official Memo. This lying A*&*^le pisses me off.

Here is a link to a German n-tv (CNN) article: http://www.n-tv.de/3100948.html

It also speaks about the FAZ article. It says that the German intelligence agencies may know about Iraq and North-Korea being in posession of smallpox virii.

Germany wants to have 70 million doses of vaccine by the end of March.

This article also refers to an article of the "Focus" news magazine. They claim to have an internal memo of the German FBI warning the state police forces, that there may be an attempt to poison food supplies of the military. The German FBI refers to information of the German intelligence agency BND that four people of arabic descent are planning attacks. The target is supossedly the 5th Army Corps stationed in Heidelberg.

And in the last paragraph, the German police union is complaining about not enough personell to handle guarding objects in case of war.

what gets me is that Schroeder and Fischer stood up and said " we are not convinced". They had this material since the 9th of August. In the FAZ, they show a copy of the memo

Here's a link to a thread last week where the "Focus" article was discussed. Check out my post # 31. The item I translated was on the "News Ticker" that day. It is, therefore, no longer available in the link provided in Post 31.

BND.."Focus"..Post #31

Interestingly, this BND report was leaked just before all H..l broke loose with the German-French peace plan. Hopefully, it will come back into full view again.

Is there a "German Media/Language" ping list? If not, it may be a nice thing to have...

I assume you mean ping lists.

Just maintain a list of names in a text file, then you can cut and paste the names into the "to" field with a brief "ping message" and it is brought to the attention of the recipients in the "new posts to you" list.

There may be a faq around here somewhere explaining it better than I can.

I was thinking of a ping list the other day. I usually send articles I have translated to people who seem to be interested in them.

Are you thinking of a German readers only ping list?

Good question. Yes, I think a list for people who can read German would be good. Sometimes there are good newsbits that just aren't available in english. A quick heads up, with a rough jist paraphrasing the content as an initial post, and then perhaps others can add some meat to it highlighting relevant details.

I know I would really appreciate being informed whenever something is posted.
