I think the only crime that got him killed was failing to handle her EGO gingerly enough when he left.

This was an "honor killing" and last I heard, we don't do that here in America. I can see letting people off for killing the person that rapes them or their loved ones, or killing someone who murdered someone, etc...

But Clara didn't avenge something he did to her, he avenged something he wouldn't do for her -- stay faithful.

The motives for her vengence were petty and selfish. I know it hurts, but it just doesn't justify murder.

If its true that Clara was David's first wifes "other woman" then Clara is even more of a hypocrite. It's funny(sad) to see women or men help to break up a marriage through adultery then be shocked when it happens to themselves. Of course she should have divorced him.
She would have got custody of the twins, which equals power over him. She would have got big child support, which would have rubbed him wrong undoubtably. Possibly she would have got some kind of spousal support. With an estate of 10,000,000 she would have got at least half of that.
If she would have been strong and hired an great divorce attorney she could have gotten revenge with a capital R. Chances are after his little affair had run it's course and Clara not available to run back to, like she must have been doing by being so desperate acting with quitting her job and getting a boob job, he would have been begging to get her back- possibly more payback for her.
She could have continued a new dental practice on a part time basis so she could raise her kids and looked for a decent man to marry. Now he's dead, she's a murderess and the kids have to live through hell. Very sad. With the divorce laws that usually favor the woman, in this case her revenge for his misdeeds would have served her very well.
