Where'd the Mustard Gas Come From? (VANITY)
Posted on 02/14/2003 10:29:55 AM PST by Frank_Discussion
I was just talking with a co-worker about the travesty that is UN inspections, and heard something I wasn't sure about.
The inspectors are destroying some mustard gas today. I was told it was from missles. Is this true?!
If it is true, how does Blix & Co. sleep at night, or even look themselves in the mirror?

Ah, I See.

And Saddam had included it in his report, I assume.
A better question: where did this mustard gas come from BEFORE that? How did Saddam get it? America has quite a bit to answer for; we owe it to the Iraqi people to make amends for our mistakes and crimes.

Yesterday their was a statement that the UN inspecters knew of this before we had them removed last time, and had it scheduled to be destroyed. Doesn't sound like it should have surprised anyone.

It was stuff that was disclose by Iraq ONLY because it was found in the past and not dealt with then.

and the other day inspectors found some illegal "pre-cursor" agents to make the mustard gas but they'll promptly dispose of that, too. doesn't that make you fell better?

America never supplied Saddam with chemical or biological weapons. Only conventional weapons in the 1980s, to keep the Iranians at bay.

America never supplied Iraq with ANY conventional weapons at all.
Only thing we gave them were satellite pics of Iranian positions.
And there were some anthrax cultures, but not as a deliberate weapons plan. At that time, labs all over the world would send cultures to other labs as a matter of course, simply through someone requesting them.

"America has quite a bit to answer for; we owe it to the Iraqi people to make amends for our mistakes and crimes."You must be another another uninformed liberal intent on blaming your country wrongly.
The expertise on Mustard Gas comes from Germany from their research on humans during the World Wars. Every college chemistry major in college today could make mustard gas. Put this one on the Iraqis where it belongs.

I believe that is a French stone-ground "moutard" popular in French vinagrettes. I suggest all such mustards be sent immediately back to Paris where I'm sure they can be put to good use!
