Whaley is being held in the Metro Jail on a $900,000 bond. He faces charges of criminal trespass, theft of merchandise under $500 and using false identification.

That's more than the bond for murderers! I guess they're trying to send a message about not using wrong SSNs.

Only idiots commit federal crimes. They'll lock you away for looking at them wrong, especially these days.

"Miscellaneous
articles" -- could be anthrax
powder, cyanide,

radioactive
waste, plague culture, letter bombs...
These days, who can tell?

Whaley is being held in the Metro Jail on a $900,000 bond

To paraphrase the bumper sticker:

If you think education is expensive, try stupidity

Seriously, this is absurd. he was drunk, probably did not know where he was and he is held on $900K Bail?

There is something missing in this story, there must be more to it then this. Contents of the bag perhaps?

There were no criminal charges pressed for possession of conventional weapons, explosives, firearms, or WMD-type things. The bond seems a bit high for the charges actually pressed.
