we have come to understand that our real duty is to the people of the world and to our common future. "

In other words, they are converts to the cause of world socialism. Eff 'em.

I have mixed feelings about a war also and I think I can understand both sides of which I realize I may not. War is hell but fear is much worse. I have never seen combat but I have seen and know fear.
My father served in the second world war while I was a baby. My mom was left to fend for us and she did alright and we never had any regrets. I was drafted into the Army in 1962 and did not want to go but I felt an obligation to my country and to my father who would have disowned me had I not gone and to this day I am proud, happy and fully believe it made me into a man and showed me how to accept responsibility.
I have a son who spent 8 years in the Navy. I say this to only show that I feel I and my family have answered when called upon.
I say this to one and all and you can make up your own mind. America has never faced the likes of Bin Laden and Sadaam. We have never been attacked like we were on Sept 11.
But this I know, my grandchildren will never know the peace and comfort I and my children have known and fear is much worse than death because it is never ending when you allow yourself to be controlled by it and that is what these people play on and it behooves every American to stand up to this cowards.
America stood up to Hitler and see what happened. When people hide behind their masks or other people they are cowards.
I say this, I dont want to die but I want my grandchildren and their children to have the peace and comfort I have. I am not combat ready and in no shape to fight but I damn well am prepared to give my life for those who have not had the chance to expierence what I have in these 64 years.
And very few have been screwed anymore by the system recently than myself but I have still lived and the good still dwarfs the bad I have seen.

"Thirty-thousand Gulf War vets are now dead," organizer Terri Allred told WorldNetDaily.

30,000 Gulf War vets are now dead? That doesn't seem statistically plausible. Can anyone confirm that figure is true, or not?

Word to the wise: WHENEVER a "vet" does something like this (Incitement to desert), it is always a good idea to make a check of his records. Chances are, his discharge was not on the "honorable" side. Some of them turn out to have not served at all, or not in the theaters/billets claimed.

I don't know HOW they can "tread lightly" about the central issue...they are guilty of Incitement to Mutiny and Desertion, solidly.

This is one reason why I question their true service so early. A true vet knows that modern military men are all VOLUNTEERS. Thus, no one is being asked to do something they did not expect OR plan for. These fools act like we're all STILL draftees, or tricked somehow into the Service. Somewhat, in fact, like the patronizing Leftists who act like we're all just hopelessly retarded idiots, needing their care and concern (until, that is, they're spitting on us).

There were deaths during the first Gulf War .. but I don't recall the numbers to be anywhere near that

I saw the number 148 posted last night. Most armed forces personnel die due to automobile accidents. The armed forces deaths (overall) were less during the Gulf War than during peace time.

That sounds like a closer number

If I recall, yes there were accident deaths, then there was that friendly fire were they couldn't tell who's tanks were who's and also there was a scud missile that hit a barracks and I think 28 people were killed then

The hugher number of deaths that this ass clown cites seems to me to be the number of deaths they attribute to other causes not necessarily fron the Gulf War (reactions to vaccines, reports of biohazard/chemical fires in Iraq set by retreating Republican Guard). They have a shrill female (one Joyce RILEY, I think is her name) who gets on the media and whines all night long.

These "VETS" have indeed swamped the VA with their claims. Many get turned down and some are into their tenth appeal to get on the dole. They have buried the DVA for years to come with this, and then they complain to Congress that they are being ignored.

Rush Limbaugh has said more than once that there was NOT ONE COMBAT DEATH in the Gulf War. The anti-America protestors are spreading this rumor that 30,000 have died since - we are supposed to assume from some chem/bio exposure. If that many had died wouldn't some of us know them or know of them? Consider the source.

PING!!!!!!!!

These idiots never learn, do they? The very people they're trying to influence laugh our collective a$$es off at crap like this.

Oh, well, they might convince a few malcontents and dirtbags to jump ship...which is good; it weeds them out and identifies them.

"We were ordered to destroy Vietnam from the air and on the ground. At My Lai we massacred over 500 women, children and old men. This was not an aberration, it's how we fought the war.

F-ing liar.

I'm for the war but I do remember the VA initially turning down the vets who came back sick from the Gulf War.WorldNetDaily has reported that nearly two of every five of the approximately 540,000 Gulf War vets are on disability as a result of illnesses they believe they sustained during that conflict. About 161,000 Gulf War veterans are receiving disability payments from the U.S. government. About 209,000 have filed VA claims.

This is the one thing that I am concerned about. If our VA will not treat and take care of our soldiers then we need another idea and it better be one that cares more about the soldier than AIDS in Africa.

Greetings Mo1, freedomworks, FReepers, et al:

You are right to question this misinformation nonsense. So what if 1+1=3? Outcome based education breeds liberals. And the best part of being liberal, you never have to accept responsibility for PFA numbers.

Based statistically upon the fabricated death numbers, 90+ people from my unit would be dead right now. To date, only one person in my unit died of Gulf War syndrome. This Mycoplasma cross between bacterial and virus theory is consistent; given the foul personal hygiene conditions of middle eastern culture. For example, use your left hand, in lieu of toilet paper, and your toilet is the shower floor drain.

At this point, the DU exposure argument rings of more Socialist misinformation nonsense than truth. And excessive use of a "Caps Lock" key, (SHOUTING) is quite annoying.

Thanks for the links. Just hope people realize that bio-chemicals are deadly and worse than a bullet.
