Bush Must Warn Rogue States of Nuclear Retaliation
NewsMax ^ | Sept. 24, 2001 | Col. Stanislav Lunev

Posted on 02/12/2003 4:59:00 PM PST by FairOpinion

My suggestion is that the U.S. must warn rogue states, i.e., Iraq, Iran, Syria and Libya, that if these groups use a weapon of mass destruction on an American city, the U.S. military will not do any investigations, there will be no delay – the U.S. will use similar weapons on their population centers and military targets.

Intelligence experts have told me that there are more than 5,000 highly trained terrorists in the U.S. and Europe who are in permanent readiness for new attacks against the civilized world.

Now that we are in a full-blown war, the stakes are high for each side.

No one can rule out that these terrorists may have biological, chemical and nuclear weapons. No one can rule out their use.

Even though this was written on Sept. 24, 2001,I think it's very timely. I hope the Moderator will leave this in the Breaking News area, because I think this is very important, and this is what I hope Bush is doing. This maybe the only thing that may deter a terrorist attack with WMD on our own soil.

There is no way that country sponsorship isn't involved in supporting AQ. I agree with Col. Lunev that we must make it clear that Iraq will cease to exist, if we are attacked by anybody. Let them get AQ to stop the attack, through their channels.

He can't even be bothered to close off the borders, why in God's name do you think he would do this?

The only problem with this is how do you know who to hit until you've done an investigation?

That question is raised often, and it is an important point.

But if I may be homely, I learned a lesson from my father when I was a kid. I was scrawny (Oh, would that I were now!)and took quite a bit of bullying in school.

My father told me that I just had to accept some responsibility and not be a victim.

I said, "But there is a whole crowd of them!"

Answer:

"Let it be known that the next attack on you, BOB gets it, regardless of who hits you. Next time, JIM gets it. If you cannot fight them all at once, do it one at a time!".

It really worked.

Yeah, but is Iraq really going to care if Iran gets the nuke, or vice versa?

It's bothering me more than I can articulate and I don't normally have a problem doing so.

At a guess I would think so, depending on the prevailing winds. While they would not care about their neighbors, they would care very much to note that we were sufficiently provoked to use one. Or two. Or more.

If the US is seen as a timid, cowed, crippled giant, as is the current perception, that would come to an abrupt halt.

Were I to say to those school bullies, "I will hit back someday", and did little, what do you think the result would have been? A never-ending series of attacks, with no end in sight.

And a counter terrorist investigator said that the mosques in this country harboring terrorists are still OFF LIMITS and NO search warrants can be issued

We are sending troops to die in Iraq and can't even take precautions here in the states

Is Bush stupid or what

May work for the school-yard but not with live nukes. We will not use nukes unless we KNOW the recipient used WMD on us, you can rest assured of that.
