This started with CBS Survivor controlling the content and determining outcomes and now it has spread to other shows.

my initial reaction to the "original" reality show, "Survivor", went as follows: "What do I think of it? Well, I have never watched it, so I have a question... do the losers DIE? No? Then why is it called 'Survivor'?"
