Perhaps those of us who believe Turkey is a NATO member worthy of immediate protection from a terrorist attack should contact the embassy of Belgium and tell them they need to get on board with 16 other NATO partners and step up to the plate to protect the only Muslim NATO member.

I'm in the market for a new car, and before all this mess with Germany and France started, I was very seriously leaning toward the new VW. Not any more. Believe it or not, I'm not anti-German-- I studied German in school for many years and lived for a time in Austria. But if I have only limited $$$ to spend on a product, my priority now is to spend it on my own kind.

There's only ONE beer, and that's Fosters!

Do what you believe is right. My post was meant as a joke. As a German, I´d never boycott our goods. :-)

No, I just shop there when I visit Germany. Good parking (free at the one I go to), no credit card hassles. (One of the major electroic chains would only take EuroCard or cash when I shopped there - no American cards.) My German is very weak, and it is easier to pull something off the shelf than it is to try to explain what I want at a hardware store or a plumbing shop.

Well, parking us usually free at all supermarkets here (except in the inner cities). And I have no problems to pay with EuroCard (new system: Maestro) or cash. :-)
Thanks for looking up at Walmart.com, the next were Reisholz, but on my way to go there, I´ve 5 supermarkets (and three here in a distance of 5 minutes to go by car).

Ivan, you forgot Germany's (and France's), heck Europe's largest export ---
AIRBUS!If EVERY American phones or emails their favorite airline(s) (both US and European) that, as Americans, we will NO LONGER fly on -any- AIRBUS jet regardless of airline, but demand to be flown on only BOEING aircraft, all the US airlines especially will quickly start to dump all their Airbus fleets and give a giant boost to America's largest exporter, Boeing! thus also giving a big help to the US economy.
