QUEENSRYCHE's GEOFF TATE posted the following message at his website, www.geofftate.com, on February 4th...
We have some surprises planned for you with regards to the new studio cd and the upcoming tour that I'm betting that most of you will like. For all you net junkies out there, take a breath and go outside. The QR pipeline will be opening very soon and the details will be made public so you can all hear what the hell has been going on. Unless GWB brings us to our knees with a NUCLEAR HOLOCOST. Peace and NO WAR - GT."[my emphasis]...

Yet another singer who thinks he knows how the world works. Geoff ought to realize that he shouldn't anger any fans he has left.

Well- my view on the war and the world in general has now changed. THANKS GEOFF! I do believe I will go find a large group of naked women to spell out a message of peace.

It's hard to tell who knows more: actors, musicians, or poets/writers (of the liberal persuasion).

Well, that settles it. I'm never gonna buy a Queensryche CD again, dammit! Of course, it never occurred to me before this article to buy a Queensryche CD...

Hmmmmm. This is awfully persuasive, coming as it does from such a renowned foreign policy expert. Ultimately, I'll have to hear what Twisted Sister's Dee Snyder, Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx, and that guy from Quiet Riot have to say on the issue before I make up my mind completely.

What does the Nuge' think?

Doesnt suprise me at all. The whole Mindcrime CD is a exercise in facism idolotry. "Speak the word..the word is all of us. Blah Blah we'll tear the white house down. I saw them in concert at the Vic in Chicago the last time they were here. Geoff Tate was rambling on about GWBush. Dont get me wrong --it rocks--but, I've never agreed w/ the political aspects of their music.

I'll ask a rock star about foreign policy long after I ask Secretary Rumsfeld about amplifier selection.

Geoff Tate of Queensryche is against the war. Oh my, I think that I have to rexamine my whole thought process on this up coming work because Geoff is against this war. Seriously, does anyone really care what this guy thinks?

No, they're terrible. Hair metal in all its manifestations must die.
