Rallies continue unabated. Media barely notices.

Fantastic. I got the impression from watching the hit piece on 60 Minutes tonight that every South Korean on the peninsula despised us. They interviewed many people who said that were much more afraid of George Bush than of Kim Jong.

Why are you posting this? This is pure BS. I caught Oprah on Friday, and sheeee said (actually it was a CNN correspondent) that South Korea is against us! I mean, everyone they interviewed, it seemed, was against us. Even a Korean war vet! Sorry, but it's hard to break free of Oprah's mind control.

There have actually been quite a few pro-U.S. rallies in the past two weeks, none of them getting much press in either S. Korean or international press. The one mentioned here was actually far larger than any of the anti-U.S. street rallies plastered throughout our media. There were also rallies taking place at military bases, a rally sponsored by war veterans, and some combined pro-U.S./pro-Japan rallies. This was surprising to me, as our media seems to portray us as an evil presence in the region.

Nice to see this. Although I'm a little confused because last night I was watching 60 Minutes and they had a story about how S. Korea can't stand the United States. In fact, they claimed that SK was more afraid of us than N. Korea.
