BERLIN (Reuters) - George Clooney (news) reacted with a stream of invective when a journalist called the American actor's latest film -- the box office flop "Solaris" -- "boring" after it was screened at the Berlin Film Festival.

Oohhh man after reading what Clooney said I can't believe what an idiot that guy is.

Mugging expression aside, that sure is an unflattering photo. He looks twenty pounds overweight and pushing fifty.
Actors depend on good photo angles and lots of makeup. We should never forget that they are just images, about as substantial as the little happy-face chatroom icons. Once they open their mouths unscripted, it's all over. No point in getting upset with they turn out to be idiots--it's the combined talents of many people, least of which are the actors, who create the stories we love (or not) to watch.

Solaris is a great UNIX operating system. Very exciting to use for a UNIX expert. (If you're not an expert, use Apple's UNIX: Mac OS X).
It was also a boring movie that about 3 people went to see. Shame that Clooney's movie stole Sun's OS name.

[Goony] happily answering questions at a news conference late on Saturday when a reporter rose to say the film was boring
"You crack me up, man. You just wanted to get up and be a rat, you know that? You just wanted to get up and say something rotten. What a jerk! I mean honestly, you know, what a (expletive) thing to say!" said Clooney

I was one of the three that saw the movie.
The glow of the red light from the exit sign was more entertaining though I have to admit, the air conditioning in the theater sent chills up and down my spine.

Clooney will go down in history with Alec Baldwin. Good for them. They deserve it.

Although I am not at all fond of his political views (and, frankly, do not care to hear them), I think he is a pretty good actor and I enjoy his movies.
We ALL can have a bad day, even an actor who feels challenged by a reporter. I am sure Clooney is defensive about the movie because it did poorly at the box office in America and he put a lot of himself into it.
Besides, doesn't a reporter lose his journalism cloak when he says "I found your movie boring", as opposed to sharing some other person's review of the movie and then inviting Clooney's comment?
When asked about the poor quality of one of HIS movies, I understand actor Michael Caine once smiled and said that he had a very high lifestyle that is well maintained by a low grade of movie. I prefer Clooney's honest (albeit overly defensive and emotional) reaction to Caine's smug quip, don't you?
Just my two cents.

Clooney wasn't even that clever. He stole the entire movie. It's a remake of an early 70's Soviet film.
