Fox News Channel announced that President Bush will be speaking from the Greenbriar, WV resort at 11AM. They will be carrying his speech live.
This resort is noteworthy because back during the Cold War, a large subterranian bunker was under the resort to protect members of Congress from a nuclear attack.

That was a good assessment. Gotta go get ready for an influx of 100 people to our house. Maybe I can sneak into the study for a quick update later (ha ha)!

Senator Past Roberts is on Fox saying, The issue not more inspectors, its disarmament.

"That means that if he's in Baghdad when the balloon goes up, it's his own damn fault."
Bush (after this dog and pony show) should come out and give Saddam the 48hr ultimatum. The hell with the U.N. they have been exposed for what they are.

Putin and Schroeder - press conference at 12:30 on Fox.So much for Putin being a good friend of this Administration...time for Powell and Bush to move ahead. Senator Pat Roberts completely dismissing Blix..says this is not the A Team of inspectors...has little confidence.

What did the President say?Hopefully his comments will be played shortly. I have not heard an announcement, but Fox, for one, had said they would show the speech live, then went to the tape feed from Baghdad.
Stay tuned!

PUTIN and SCHROEDER???
Well, I guess W really misjudged Putin. This isn't going to sit well with W. Looks like Putin decided to side with the wrong team. Sadly, it doesn't surprise me.

Pat Roberts tells Tony "there is an Al Qaeda cell in Baghdad" and Tony says we can presume with the Saddam's blessing...answer is yes.
(we have connected these dots for awhile, but some are refusing to accept it, as we've seen, so it must be reiterated and emphasized.)

Rintense - came in for one more quick cruise before I have to get ready for something - President Bush talked tax cuts, domestic agenda, etc. I'm being pulled in two directions - getting ready for 100 people at our house and wishing I could stay here! ha ha

Our good friends - the Russians, the Germans and the French.
To: cyncooper
The President already spoke..they broke away from him to cover Blix. He was just speaking at a GOP conference. I did hear him say again today that the "game is over". With Russia joining France and Germany today, things only get more complicated...Rosen on Fox just saying "the inspectors were not sent to negotiate, they were sent to verify that Saddam is complying". Administration dismissing what Saddam is doing now.

If you think Powell was upset with the French and Germans last week, Stay Tuned!!!!

Get us out of the UN, once and for all. That could be the effect of all this before it's over. The UN has shown that it is nothing more than the old League of Nations, only more expensive and less effective.

Men who are occupied with commerce don't kill Easily refuted by a counter example. When the Germans were ready to break the Molotov-Ribbentrop non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union, they first let the last train of raw materials from Russia pass through the checkpoint. The Germans and the Russians were occuppied with commerce. About the same time we were occuppied with commere with Japan, at the same time the Japanes were killing Chinese in wholesale lots.
I would have said that men of good will who are occuppied with commerce don't kill, but then men of good will don't kill anyway, except in self defense. this is not to knock commerce. It can lead to good will between peoples, but to say that it always does is over broad.
