KUGN Drops Controversial Talk Show Host ("Hate Education" Pulls Savage off Air)

  Dec. 19 - Talk show host Michael Savage no longer will be talking to many University of Oregon fans.

     Radio station KUGN, the "Voice of the Ducks," is dropping Savage after complaints by university faculty and students who have argued for weeks that UO football and basketball broadcasts shouldn't share the air with so-called "hate radio" hosts.

This is just another example of how the university Leftists want to prevent critical thought. Just preface everything Conservative as "Hate-" such as "hate-radio," etc.

Well, what about the field of "Hate Education"? Or "Hate Indoctrination"? These terms are certainly more legitimate.

Let's start using these appropriate terms.

Exactly. Since the left knows that's what America listens to (not HATE, but the Truth), and they have not a clue how to succeed in a television or radio arena spewing their views, their own alternative is censorship. This is getting more and more like the old USSR.

I've never heard this. I've never heard him speak ill of women. Just certain women. I've never heard him speak negatively about "immigrants", just illegals. Same thing about "Hispanics". And Jews? Savage is a rabid supporter of Israel.

The person that said this never has really listened to Savage. Who takes a little time to get used to. Heck, he needles Rush Limbaugh. So what?

I hope Savage goes on TV. Something different would be nice. One thing is for sure, he is no dummy. A very well educated and traveled man.

I bet half of these so called faculty and students are charter members of Democrat Underground, a site so rife with hatred, slander and expletives, that it should be rated for 18 and older.

Funny how "hate speech" is only in the eye of the beholder. Too bad Oregon has been invaded by the dregs of California.

The only thing that should get Savaga cancelled is poor advertising income. I somehow doubt that this is the case.

As an aside, I find it amazing that Sean Hannity is still on the local station in Northampton/Amherst in MA. This is Berkeley East. I am beginning to think that Berkeley ought to be called Amherst West........
