Doesn't matter if it's an electric car, SUV, Volvo, or Hyundai; he should be a part of the solution and ride the bus (mass transit) like the common folk.

All I can think is "Ishtar".

I included this article from the Guardian because in it, he admitted that he thought the "British Empire" was giving him a lifetime acheivement award when actually it was just British "Empire Magazine".
There were already several threads on Dustbin's outrage at the President but they missed this detail. If he can't get details that personally concern him right, then I would not look to him for guidence in world affairs either.
I stumbled on this news story in a list of headlines from the SXSW "film fest". Every day they select those articles that they think will appeal to their readers. Of course those in the organization seem to be as leftist as the rest of the industry.
If this is the type of statement that they will choose to highlight, then I think it is only right that Mr. Hoffman be prepared to suffer diminishing box-office returns from those who do not agree with his shortsighted and personally vindictive viewpoint.

Don't know about that but there is a keyword that I use in these threads titled "Activist actors" (although I did recently use that for a thread where conservative Jane Russell was speaking out against the extreme left wing in Hollyweird).

"I thought when they said it was the Empire awards, that they meant the British Empire giving them.
If you had THOUGHT that, would you EVER have ADMITTED IT, much less TOLD somebody?

We're talking drama majors here. Not rocket scientist. Not even education majors. Most studied skill is to lie effectively on stage or in front of a camera. To LIE well. D R A M A majors... Big Fat Ego types... Who cares what this man thinks?
And these people have the gall to say that President Bush is an idiot. Ever see a movie blooper reel?

The bar is set considerably lower for movies starring ex-SNL actors.
This is true. But at least we've had movies that are vastly more entertaining from some of them than from Dustin (Tootsie notwithstanding).

With the exception of the fine actors you named, and those who don't wish to "out" themselves as conservatives, I've come up with a good name for all the idiocy the Left represents here on the Left Coast: Deadwood.

The first time I saw an ad for Tootsie I was watching SNL. I don't recall if Dustin Hoffman was the guest (he may have been) and I think that Bill Murray was still in the cast (weren't he and Garrett Morris the last to leave?). When I saw the ad I thought it was another SNL joke. Only later did I learn that it was a real movie.

Yes, it would have seemed like a parody commercial. But I've enjoyed the movie many times.
